For those who are not suitable, the faults of samsara in general and in particular are shown; for some who are depressed and dull in their minds, the biographies of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas are told, etc., to let them hear wonderful stories. The second is, for those who are intelligent and suitable as vessels for the profound, the profound emptiness, the vast six perfections, etc., are taught as methods for attaining liberation and omniscience; for those who are of shallow intelligence and not suitable as vessels for the profound, easy-to-understand words, concise phrases, easy-to-understand content, and the ten virtues and ten non-virtues, etc., are taught as merely the Dharma of higher rebirth. The third is, if one wants to extensively explain the sutras and treatises, one explains them through the five key points of the method of explanation. First, the limb of leading those with realization into the text. The stage of listening to and thinking about the text and the ultimate purpose are shown. After that, in order to realize that purpose, the content of the text before and after is shown in a general way, and the condensed meaning is shown. After that, in order to easily realize the condensed meaning, the meaning of the words of each word of the text is explained. In order to make the order of the words before and after not contradict each other, in order to connect the before and after, the conjunction is shown, and in order to refute the reasonable and unreasonable points of the words and meanings, it should be determined by debate and then explained. Second, regarding the nature of the Dharma to be explained, there are two types. First, determining the six extremes, that is, the sutras to be explained also have two types: direct meaning and definitive meaning, literal meaning and non-literal meaning, intended meaning and non-intended meaning. It seems that this is how it is explained, but only the Great Yoga Root Tantra has six extremes, but the sutras, treatises, and lower tantras do not have the explanation of six extremes, so there is no connection. Therefore, the noble Nagarjuna divides the sutras into two types: direct meaning and definitive meaning. In the Root Verses on the Middle Way, it says: "The Buddhas teach the Dharma based on the two truths, one is the conventional truth, and the other is the ultimate truth." It is said that the conventional truth, which mainly shows birth and death, etc., is the direct meaning, and the definitive meaning, such as unborn emptiness, etc.

It is considered that the one who teaches the ultimate meaning is the definitive meaning. As it is said in the Samadhiraja Sutra: "As taught by the Sugata, know the distinctions of the sutras of definitive meaning. Wherever sentient beings, persons, or individuals are taught, know all those teachings as provisional meaning." Thus it is said. Establishing the four common intentions: The intention of equality is: The Thubpa praised the Buddha Vipashyin, saying, "I myself became Vipashyin at that time," and so on. The basis of the intention is the equality of the Dharmakaya. The necessity is to abandon contempt for the Thubpa. The intention of other meaning is: As before, all dharmas are without self-nature and unborn. The intention of other time is: Those who aspire to be born in Sukhavati will be born there, and so on. The basis of the intention is that it will be so after a long time. The necessity is to become an antidote to laziness. The intention of the mind of the individual is: In some places, generosity is praised, and in some places, generosity is condemned. The basis of the intention is that generosity is superior relative to those who do not do good deeds, but inferior relative to morality and so on. The necessity is: To lead some who engage in generosity, and those who are satisfied with generosity, to higher dharmas. The four hidden intentions are: Introduction, nature, antidote, and transformation are hidden intentions. The hidden intention of introduction is: To introduce the Shravakas and others to the Mahayana, it is said that external objects are real. The basis of the intention is to intend only what appears to be grasped, and even if understood literally, there is a need to gradually introduce the Mahayana in a way that is in accordance with their inclinations. The hidden intention of nature is: To teach that all dharmas are without self-nature, and so on. The basis of the intention is that in the completely imputed, nature is without self-nature, in the other-dependent, birth is without self-nature, and in the perfectly established, ultimate is without self-nature. The necessity is to prevent clinging to reality. The hidden intention of antidote is: The Mahayana is taught to subdue the faults of the eight obscurations, the eight obscurations are: Disparaging the Buddha Dharma, laziness and contentment with little, behavior of desire and pride, regret and uncertainty, are able to turn sentient beings
