All that appears as mind and what arises from it is the impure other-powered nature. The perfectly established nature is the emptiness in which the imputations of the other-powered nature are not truly established as they are imagined to be by ordinary people with respect to persons and phenomena from the very beginning. As it is said in the Thirty Verses: "Establishment is prior to that; whatever constantly becomes nonexistent." Like that. It is also divided into immutable perfectly established nature and non-inverted perfectly established nature. The first is further divided into naturally pure and stainlessly pure. The first is the dharmata of the impure state. The second is the dharmata of the extremely pure state. The immutable perfectly established nature itself, when manifestly realized in a non-dual manner, is the non-conceptual meditative wisdom, which is called the non-inverted perfectly established nature. The Mind-Only school is also divided into those who follow the false aspect and those who follow the true aspect. The first is like the appearance of colored cloths, etc., on a clear crystal ball. Knowledge is like a crystal ball free from tarnish, not stained by the defilements of grasper and grasped, but due to the power of habit, it appears as various grasper and grasped. Therefore, the appearances of external objects such as forms are not truly established as either things or knowledge, but are merely imputations. That's what they say. Those who follow the true aspect believe that knowledge itself arises as having the appearance of objects such as forms due to the cause of habit, so the various appearances of knowledge are considered to be the nature of knowledge. The divisions of the perfectly established nature are: immutable perfectly established nature, and so on. What is the immutable perfectly established nature? It is the dharmadhatu. What is the non-inverted perfectly established nature? It is the wisdom that realizes the dharmadhatu. Those who follow the true aspect say that external objects such as forms are the nature of mind that truly appears, and the appearance of grasper and grasped is an illusion due to the power of habit. Those who follow the false aspect say that the illusion of external objects such as forms is not truly existent as things, just as when the eyes are deceived by cataracts, hairs, etc., appear in the sky where they do not exist. According to both those who follow the true and false aspects, the appearance of grasper and grasped is an illusion, and the self-aware and self-illuminating wisdom of non-duality, which is the nature of this illusion, is the ultimate truth, and this wisdom is an indivisible moment.

If it were not so, it would be no different from the "self" of the Samkhya school. If asked, how do you know that the appearance of the grasper and the grasped is mistaken? Because the objects such as blue and, the consciousness that possesses these objects are not other, if one is cognized, the other is also cognized; if one is not cognized, the other is not cognized either, because it is certain that one consciousness cognizes simultaneously, so this is the sign. Moreover, objects such as form are consciousness, because they are clearly experienced, like happiness and so on. Like this, it is established through reasoning that the grasper and the grasped are not two entities. Fourth, explaining the tenets of the Madhyamaka school: The Madhyamikas such as the noble Nagarjuna, Shantideva, Aryadeva, glorious Chandrakirti, etc., establish the knowable through the path of the two truths. Among these, the grasped such as form and, the consciousness that holds these, are true on the level of conventional delusion, so they are the conventional truth. The wisdom of the samadhi of the noble ones who realize the dharmadhatu, realizing the emptiness free from the elaboration of the grasper and the grasped, that dharmadhatu itself is called the ultimate truth. This meaning is like this: For things, the meaning realized by the conceptual consciousness of ordinary people and, the nature realized by the true wisdom of the noble ones are held as two and two. If the way the noble ones and ordinary people realize the nature of things is the same, then the difference between being liberated and not being liberated from the bonds of attachment and so on would be unreasonable. It is also said in the Sixty Stanzas of Reasoning: "The world is blinded by ignorance, constantly followed by the stream of desire, the wise are free from desire, their virtuous deeds, how can these two be equal?" It is said like this. Among these, what is the meaning realized by ordinary people? That is called the conventional truth. What is the meaning realized by the wisdom of the noble ones? That is called the ultimate truth. As it is said in the Madhyamakavatara: "All phenomena are seen as false, they obtain two kinds of nature, the real seen object is the ultimate, the seen false is called conventional truth." It is said like this. Among these, the meaning realized by ordinary people is free from the four extremes.
