Without clinging, then inner clinging is also absent, without a single experience, not wavering from the constant nature is liberation. Thus it is said. Sixth, explaining the tenets of the Vaisheshika school: Practitioners consider the self of a person to be like that of the Samkhya school, the essence of which is unchanging and therefore constant. Because circumstances differ, such as gods and humans, they say that time is impermanent. In the Compendium of Reality, it is said: Other schools consider the self to be changing, possessing the nature of following, and regard it as the essence of mind. Thus it is said. Valid cognition is considered to be sixfold: direct perception, inference, verbal testimony, comparison, implication, and non-existence. Among these, verbal testimony is the wisdom that understands the meaning of words. Comparison is grasping the hidden meaning from similarity, for example, seeing something that is not a cow and thinking, "This is similar to a cow." Thus it is grasped. Implication is, for example, inferring that the fat Devadatta eats at night because he does not eat during the day. Non-existence is fourfold: prior non-existence, subsequent non-existence, mutual non-existence, and absolute non-existence. These are the four types of non-existence that are measured. Seventh, the tenets of the Naked Ones: The Naked Ones, who follow the sage Jina, consider knowable things to be nine types of meanings, namely: life, leakage, discipline, definite pleasure, bondage, karma, sin, merit, and liberation. Among these, life is: In the special praise, it is said: The naked one, like the measure of the body, says that life shrinks and grows. Thus it is said, the essence of mind is constant, only the measure of the body is spoken of. There are nine categories of living beings, namely: the four elements, trees, worms, ants, bees, and humans, who are considered sentient beings, so it is said that trees and so on have consciousness. Leakage is virtue and vice, etc. Discipline is preventing misconduct. Definite pleasure is asceticism such as plucking hair and fasting. Bondage is that differing views, internal and external, lead to experiencing happiness and suffering in the future. Sin is non-dharma such as killing. Merit is dharma such as abandoning killing. Liberation is above the three realms, called the gathering of the world, like white things such as snow.

It has a shape like an umbrella held upright. It is said that if all sins are abandoned, they will be absorbed into it. As it is said: The color of snow is like the flower of广藿香, the color of yogurt is like the color of pearls, the shape is like an umbrella held upright, the Victorious Ones said that is liberation. Thus it is said. The eighth, the system of the Expansive One, is that the sage Expansive One says that the cause of things is time, because even if the cause and conditions are complete, sometimes the result does not occur. And, because it is observed that flowers and fruits and so on arise depending on the difference of time. They believe that time is constant, one, and pervasive. Therefore, the elements such as earth and water are produced and grown by time. Living beings are gathered and destroyed by time. Time makes a person who has fallen asleep wake up in time, so it is difficult to transcend time. Being killed in battle in anger, etc., goes to the higher realms. As it is said: The daughters of the gods, adorned with various ornaments, come and embrace those killed in battle, and take them to the house of the gods. It is said that this was said by the sage Expansive One. In particular, in the Praise of Excellence, it is said: If killed in battle in anger, the Expansive One says that one will go to the higher realms. Protector, you said that the mind at that moment is a lower realm. Thus it is said. Bathing in the Ganges obtains liberation. They say: As it is said: The gate of the Ganges and the house of Kusha grass, the place of Bilva and the Blue Mountain, bathing at the entrance of Kanakhala, there will be no more rebirth. It is said that it is said thus. Piercing the sun and going upwards. In the Praise of Excellence, it is said: It is said that the parrot, piercing the sun, will become liberated. This commentary says: How the son of the sage king, named Parrot, seeing beings afflicted by countless poverty, gave rise to great compassion, wanting to go to the city of Nirvana, which is extremely fearless, and obtaining miraculous powers through the mantra born of the king, rose into the sky, and pierced the center of the sun with the power of miraculous powers, and entered the city of liberation. They say thus. Second, the tenets of one's own school.
