Fourth, it is the virtuous deeds of children's three doors of body, speech, and mind. Fourth is the seed of afflictions. Fifth is that which is in accordance with the arising of afflictions. Sixth is the contaminated aggregates of the Arhats. Third, analyzing form: What is the nature of the four great elements, such as earth? To the consciousness of the body, what appears as hardness, wetness, warmth, lightness, and movement are, in order, the nature of the four great elements of form as cause, namely earth, water, fire, and wind. Among them, it is the source of all forms of fruit, or from beginningless samsara, it has never appeared or been experienced, therefore it is called "born," it pervades all forms of fruit, and because its scope is vast, it is called "great." The forms of fruit rely on it, gather it, ripen it, and move it. To do these things, more than four are not needed, and less than four is not possible, therefore there are only four. The element of touch is of two kinds, born and to be born, which has been said before. The remaining nine form elements are entirely born from the four great elements, because they depend on birth, abiding, increase, and growth. Therefore, it is also called the form of fruit. The non-cognitive is also said by the Vaibhashikas to be of the nature of what is to be born, saying, "The great elements are made the cause." The Sutra school and the Mahayana school consider the manifestations of body and speech, and the mental factor that operates together, intention, to be what is to be born. This is also established in dependence on the four great elements, so it is called what is to be born. Saying "mind" is valid in the view that mind and mental factors are the same entity, and it is not valid in the view that they are different entities. Fourth, analyzing mind and mental factors: Merely knowing the essence of things (such as form) and making a determination is mind, and recognizing the state of happiness, etc., and the differences of things such as pleasant and unpleasant is a mental factor. As it is said in the Madhyantavibhaga, "There, seeing the meaning is consciousness, its difference arises from the mind." Mind and mental factors are the same entity, the same intelligence, from the aspect of knowing the essence of things it is called mind, and from the aspect of knowing the difference it is called a mental factor. The scriptures also say.

In adornment. (It is thought that) the nature of mind appears as duality, similarly, attachment and so on appear, or faith and so on appear. Afflictions and virtuous dharmas do not exist. This is how it is cited. The noble Asanga, however, considers mind and mental factors to be different entities. In the Compendium of Topics, (it says,) "Among the shramanas and brahmins, some think that only the mind in name is a substance, but not the mental dharmas." Thinking that this is not right, after refuting it extensively, it finally concludes: "Because the five aggregates are not reasonable, because the state of that has faults, because the cause of the agent has no difference, because it contradicts the scriptures." This is what was said. The meaning is, if mind and mental factors are the same entity, then the three mental aggregates such as feeling will be integrated into the consciousness aggregate, which leads to the five aggregates being unreasonable. If it is thought that feelings and so on are distinctions of the state of mind itself, then if these states are different from the mind, it contradicts that mind and mental factors are the same entity; if they are not different, then it is impossible to escape the previous fault. Moreover, because in one instant, there is no difference in the cause of the agent that can transform the state into various forms, it is also unreasonable to think that the state of mind is various mental factors. Furthermore, this also contradicts scriptures such as "The mind has been defiled by desire for a long time." If mental factors such as desire are different from the mind, then they can defile the mind. For example, if gold and its nature are not different, then what can bind what? Because it is contradictory for oneself to do to oneself. Fifth, examining how the senses grasp objects: the three senses of eye, mind, and ear grasp objects without contacting them. Because the mind is not form, there is no contact. The eye and ear can see the color of distant clouds and hear sounds. Other than that, the three senses of nose, tongue, and body grasp objects after contacting them. Because the tongue cannot taste food without touching it, the body cannot feel the tangible without touching it, and the nose cannot smell without inhaling. So, do these senses such as the eye grasp objects that are the same size as themselves? Or do they grasp objects that are not the same?
