As it appears, in the commentary on the Abhidharmakośa, it says, "The Teacher, the eye of the world, has closed, and most of those who were witnesses have passed away. Not seeing them, those with evil speculations roam freely and disturb this teaching." That is why it is said. The Vaibhāṣika is also divided into two types based on regional differences: the Sun-Lower (Nīlakaṇṭha) and the Kashmiris. Based on differences in views, they are divided into four types: those who assert the transformation of substances, those who assert the transformation of characteristics, those who assert the transformation of states, and those who assert different and different transformations. The teachers are Dignāga, Dharmatrāta, Buddadeva, Sanghabhadra, and others. The teachers Guṇaprabha and Śākyaprabha also appear to be teachers of the Vaibhāṣika. The texts are also the various works composed by those teachers, as well as the Abhidharmakośa, etc. Because they delight and revel in explaining the Abhidharma in detail, they are called Vaibhāṣikas. The Sautrāntika's tenets also appear to have arisen at the same time as the Vaibhāṣikas. They do not follow the seven Abhidharma treatises and the Detailed Explanations, etc., but follow the Sutras and establish their own systems, so they are called Sautrāntikas. The teachers are Kumārata, Śrīlāta, Bhikṣu Rāta, and others. The Sautrāntika's texts are independent and unchanging, and most of their views come from the auto-commentary of the Abhidharmakośa and the Pramāṇavārttika, etc. If one asks whether all eighteen schools mentioned earlier are included in these two tenet systems, although the commentary on the *Gongdre* says that they are definitely included, the *Togge Barwa* says that the Sthavira, Bhadra-marga, Bahuśrutīya, Dharma-gupta, and Vātsīputrīya assert the inexpressible person (pudgala), so it is clear that these are not included in the two tenet systems, because both of these tenet systems assert no-self. Thus, "The Buddha's Dharma has four aspects, seen first by those who desire, the path of the Vaibhāṣikas, etc., is accomplished by this." If one asks whether this contradicts the four tenet systems spoken of by the Sugata, there is no fault, because those who assert a self are outside the Buddha's teaching.

are outsiders, because the Buddha's teaching is distinguished by teaching non-self. Therefore, they are not proclaimers of the Tathagata's tenets. How then are all the schools included in the Tathagata's teaching? The Tathagata's teaching is distinguished by two things: pure morality and pure view. Therefore, all eighteen schools are included in the Buddha's teaching because they have not lost the training of higher morality. Among them, those who do not possess pure views are not proclaimers of the Sugata's tenets, because different tenets are distinguished by different views. Thus, the eighteen schools possess the pure training of higher morality, and the four tenet proclaimers possess the training of higher wisdom. Therefore, those schools that proclaim the existence of a person are nominally included in the Buddha's teaching because they have not lost the training of higher morality, but because they have lost the training of higher wisdom, they are actually outside the teaching as well. There are also two kinds of commentaries on the Great Vehicle's scriptures: the Madhyamaka and the Mind-Only schools. First, more than a hundred years after the Blessed One's Nirvana, due to the power of the devil's deeds, the schools split into different factions. They became confused by different and incompatible views, and all became weary of emptiness and became holders of views that clung to things as real. In the Lankavatara Sutra, it says: "Great wisdom, you should know that after my Nirvana, those who hold to the dharmas, in the southern part of India, there will be a glorious monk, whose name is called Nagarjuna, who can destroy the extremes of existence and non-existence, and in the world will promote my teaching, expound the unsurpassed vehicle, attain the first joyous ground, and be reborn in the Land of Bliss." Thus, the great being, the Holy Nagarjuna, who was prophesied, appeared four hundred years after the Teacher's Nirvana, and from the land of the Nagas and so on, he took out the Prajnaparamita and so on.
