Yes, because of the momentary and continuous destruction, impermanence itself is not, therefore the six internal sense sources, such as the eye, from the very beginning, their own nature being emptiness, is considered as the internal emptiness. Why are the eye and so on without self-nature? Because the self-nature of the eye and so on is emptiness itself. Here, the emptiness of the eye and so on is not an absence of things like breaking a vase with a hammer, nor is it devoid of other things to be negated, like a valley empty of water. Nor is it the nature of negation, because those are, in order, the emptiness of annihilation and the temporary emptiness, and therefore cannot serve as an antidote to the two obscurations. What is it then? The entities of the eye and so on themselves, their own nature, do not abide in any extreme of elaboration such as permanence or impermanence, therefore it is merely labeled as emptiness. Such emptiness is the thusness of reality, because from understanding it without turning away, the two obscurations will be abandoned. Like this, afflictions and discriminations arise from the appearance of external and internal phenomena as real. When a yogi realizes that all phenomena, from the very beginning, are empty in their own nature and do not abide in any extreme, then the clinging to the appearance of reality disappears, therefore there is no opportunity for afflictions and discriminations to arise. Therefore, it is also said in the scriptures: "Actions, afflictions, and discriminations, those elaborations arise from elaboration, emptiness will cause them to cease." And in the Sixty Stanzas of Reasoning it is also said: "Having found any place, the malicious, venomous snake of affliction will seize it, but the mind without a place will not be seized in that way." Thus it is said. Therefore, the emptiness of all phenomena being empty of self-nature is the antidote to all views, the path traveled by all noble beings, the intention of all tathagatas, the essence of what is expressed in all scriptures, those of us who are well-intentioned should believe. The emptiness of the person is the ultimate truth.

The views of those who cling to things as truly existent cannot serve as antidotes to the two obscurations. Like this, whatever antidote destroys whatever is to be abandoned must be something that contradicts the abandoned thing in its way of clinging to the same object. For example, like ascertaining that sound is impermanent and clinging to sound as permanent. Any view that holds that the ultimate exists apart from the conventional is neither aimed at the same object as the afflictions and discriminations that wrongly engage with the aggregates, nor is it contradictory in its mode of clinging, because they aim at two different truths and are alike in their attachment to clinging to the object as truly existent. This not only does not act as an antidote to afflictions and discriminations, but also nurtures their seeds. Like this, the afflictions such as desire have clinging to a self as their cause, and whoever is manifestly attached to a truly existent self apart from the aggregates causes the clinging to the aggregates as a self to increase day by day. For example, like the views of a self of the Samkhyas and Vaisheshikas. Those who view the sugatagarbha, called the eternal self, as truly existing in sentient beings also have that kind of nature. Those who are manifestly delighted in elaboration, their discriminations will increase, like children. Those who are attached to the sugatagarbha as pure, blissful, permanent, self, etc., are also manifestly delighted in elaboration. Therefore, the antidote that can uproot all extremist views is the view of realizing that all phenomena are empty of inherent existence. Those who disparage persons with many kinds of faults and praise clinging views that increase the seeds of afflictions and discriminations that are the cause of samsara and the lower realms, and who, by establishing others in that very view from their own position, not only destroy themselves but also destroy others, those inauspicious spiritual friends should be discarded far away like the ashes under one's feet by those who desire liberation. Regarding external emptiness, since its nature is such, form is empty of form, sound, smell, taste, tactile objects, and phenomena
