Isn't it? Therefore, the aggregates are not self. If, when explaining the relationship of karma and its results, the word "self" only refers to the aggregates, and when one sees selflessness, it refers to the person who is the inner agent fabricated by others. Therefore, at the time of seeing selflessness, one only sees the formations that are separate from the person who is the inner agent, and it will not happen that one sees that form and other things do not exist, is that what you think? To this it is said: If you abandon the permanent self, then at that time, because of that, your mind or aggregates will not become the self. When, fearing the faults as stated above, one clings to the permanent self itself with the word "self," and wants to abandon such a self when seeing selflessness, your mind or aggregates will not be suitable to be the self, and therefore your own side will decline. Therefore, if you do not want the word "self" in "all phenomena are selfless" to refer to the aggregates, then you should not want it to refer to the aggregates elsewhere either. If you want it to refer to the aggregates elsewhere, then you should also want it to refer to the aggregates here. Furthermore, your yoga that sees selflessness will not realize the suchness of form and other things, because attachment and so on arise from clinging to form and other things, because one has not realized its own nature. If one sees the realization that all phenomena are selfless, and it is merely seeing the selflessness of the inner agent that is different from the aggregates, then according to your system, the yogi who sees selflessness will not realize the suchness of the aggregates such as form, because it is merely realizing the selflessness that is different from the aggregates. Therefore, the yogi who sees selflessness will generate afflictions such as attachment, because there is no correct realization of the nature of form and other things, which is the cause of abandoning them, and attachment and so on arise from clinging to those objects such as form. Second, the refutation of the proof: Just as the inference of valid cognition does not harm us who take the scriptures as valid cognition, and the scriptures also only show the aggregates as the self, like this: Because the Teacher said that the aggregates are the self, therefore, if you think the aggregates are the self, because the Teacher said to the monks

If someone asks: In what way do certain ascetics or Brahmins correctly contemplate and grasp "I"? They say: "I correctly contemplate and grasp these aggregates of grasping as me." Therefore, they consider the aggregates to be me. In response to this: This is to negate other things apart from the aggregates. Because other sutras say "Form is not me," etc. This sutra does not clearly show that the aggregates are me, then what is it? This is to negate the "I" that is different from the aggregates and conceived by others, and to clarify the conventional truth without reversing it. Also, how do you know that this sutra negates the "I" that is different from the aggregates? Because other sutras also negate that form, etc., are me. How to negate? Because other sutras say: Form, feeling are not me, perception is also not me, formations are not me, consciousness is also not me. Therefore, the sutra says "The aggregates are me" is not considered as such. Because other sutras say, from "Form is not me" until "Consciousness is also not me." Therefore, the meaning shown in the sutra "The aggregates are me" is not considered as such. If the previous sutra said that the aggregates are me, then it should not be negated in other sutras that form, etc., are me, because this contradicts the previous sutra. Therefore, the previous sutra only negates the "I" that is conceived by others and is different from the aggregates. And from the sutra that negates that form, etc., are me, it negates the "I" that is imputed on the basis of the aggregates, that is, the object of the view of the perishable collection, the "I" that has the aggregates of grasping, because it is appropriate to contemplate this truth at this time. Furthermore, although the previous sutra, that is, the sutra "Monks," etc., is determined as a way of establishing, it cannot show that the aggregates are me. As it is said: When saying "The aggregates are me," it refers to the collection of aggregates, not the nature of the aggregates. For example, when saying "Trees are a forest," it refers to the collection of trees being a forest, not that each tree is a forest. Similarly, when saying "The aggregates are me," it refers to the collection of aggregates being called me, not the nature of the aggregates. Even if the collection is said to be me, it is not reasonable to be me, as it is said:
