Therefore, because there is no expression in the realm of acceptance and rejection. Secondly, taking the example of a false realm to illustrate. The heretics who are disturbed by the sleep of ignorance, according to their own tenets, examine the self, the lord, the independent, the atom, the self-nature, etc., as they are, and the appearances of sensory delusion, such as illusion, mirage, etc., are externally conceived. All these do not even exist in worldly speech, because worldly people do not speak in these ways. Although the various establishments of the inner and outer proponents do not exist in the ultimate truth, how can they not exist in the conventional truth? The inner and outer heretics want to be outstanding, just like letting go of the previous branch of a tree and climbing the next branch but failing to grasp it. They want to enter Suchness, so they completely abandon the phenomena of arising and ceasing, etc., which are known to worldly beings and even shepherds, and falsely fabricate reality with evil discriminations, thereby losing both truths and falling into the abyss of evil views. Therefore, to illustrate that worldly people do not harm Suchness, just as what is seen by someone with cataracts does not harm the wisdom without cataracts? Similarly, the discriminating mind that abandons immaculate wisdom does not harm immaculate wisdom. The refutation of arising from others is not a refutation based on the consciousness of worldly people, but a refutation based on the vision of the noble ones. Therefore, just as what is seen by eyes deluded by cataracts does not harm the vision of wisdom without cataracts, the discriminating mind that abandons the immaculate wisdom of the noble ones and clings to worldly speech, even if arising from others, etc., has been established, it does not harm the realm of the wisdom of the noble ones without the defilement of the cataracts of ignorance, that is, non-arising.

etc., there is no harm. Therefore, at the time of thoroughly examining suchness, the opponents who take the world as a measure are worthy of being laughed at by the noble ones. Secondly, regarding the individual nature of the two truths. Firstly, in order to show the nature of conventional truth: Ignorance veils its own nature, hence it is conventional; whatever is seen as true by it is artificial; the Thus-Gone One has said that it is the conventional truth; things that have become artificial are conventional. This (ignorance) makes sentient beings confused about the true nature, hence it is ignorance. It makes one cling to the reality of things in a distorted way, so it is called conventional because it obscures the seeing of one's own nature. Such a conventionality sees and clings to something as true, which is an artificial dependent arising because it has not entered into reality. This is the conventional truth, which the Thus-Gone One has spoken, seeing the nature of the two truths as they are. Thus, for the time being, the conventional truth is established by the power of afflicted ignorance. This conventional truth is also regarded by the noble Hearers, Solitary Buddhas, and Bodhisattvas who have abandoned afflicted ignorance as artificial objects like images, so it is only established as conventional, not as true, because there is no pretense of appearing as true. The mere conventionality just mentioned is also apparent to the noble ones who have objects of experience with appearances in the post-meditation state, because only non-afflicted ignorance is always practiced, but not in the state of equipoise, because all elaborations are completely pacified. For the Buddhas, the Blessed Ones, who have objects of experience without appearances, it is not apparent at all times, because all phenomena in all aspects are completely enlightened in the nature of the Dharmadhatu, in which the characteristics of elaboration are completely pacified. Therefore, it is intended to completely reverse the flow of mind and mental factors. How is this to be known? There are two kinds of ignorance: afflicted and non-afflicted. The former revolves through the door of manifest clinging to self and what belongs to self.
