"english_translation": "Thus it is said. Illusory perception can be divided into two types: the consciousness arising from clarity, which is not corrupted by external and internal conditions of the six senses, and the consciousness arising from defects, which is corrupted by external and internal conditions of the six senses. Diseases such as cataracts and jaundice, and consuming Datura, etc., are internal conditions that harm the physical senses. Sesame oil, water, mirrors, caves, and sunlight, etc., are external conditions that harm the senses. Due to these, even without internal causes of illusion, appearances such as reflections, eye floaters, echoes, and water moons arise. Similarly, mantras and medicines applied by illusionists are also external conditions. Conditions that harm the mind's sense faculty include philosophical tenets that are not in accordance with reality, and seemingly valid inferences. Therefore, the consciousness arising from senses that possess the aforementioned defects of illusion is considered to be erroneous in relation to the consciousness of well-functioning senses that are free from external and internal harm. Just as worldly consciousness is twofold, being either correct or incorrect, it is taught that objects are also either true or false. Therefore: Whatever is apprehended by the six uncorrupted senses, That which is understood by the world, Is true from the perspective of the world itself, while the remainder Is regarded as false from the perspective of the world itself. Thus it is said. Whatever object is apprehended by the six senses that are not harmed by external and internal conditions, and is understood by the world, is regarded as true from the perspective of the world, because worldly beings manifestly cling to it as true and it does not deceive in conventional terms. This is not from the perspective of noble beings, because they see those objects as being like reflections. Whatever is apprehended by the consciousness arising from corrupted senses, such as reflections, is regarded as false from the perspective of the world itself, because worldly beings do not manifestly cling to them as true." } ] ============================================================

There are two truths: the ultimate truth and the conventional truth. Among them, the ultimate truth is the self-nature of things as perceived by the noble ones through correct wisdom. The conventional truth is the self-nature of things as perceived falsely by ordinary beings whose eyes of wisdom are obscured by the cataract of ignorance, through the power of ignorance. Of these two, the realm of seeing what is true is devoid of all elaborations such as existence and non-existence, permanence and annihilation, knowable and knowing, and no designation can be established upon it. It is something to be realized by the noble ones through their own self-awareness. This is what is designated as the ultimate truth. The realm of seeing what is false is the designation and conceptualization of persons and phenomena, and all phenomena from form to omniscience. These are what the Buddha taught as the conventional truth. Are these two truths one or different? They are neither one nor different, because they are established in relation to each other. Whatever depends on something is not the same as that thing, because there is no need for something to depend on itself. Nor is it different, because if the dependent does not exist, then the difference from the object of dependence does not exist either; and if it does exist, then there is no need to depend on anything else. Therefore, the teacher said, 'That which arises in dependence on something, is temporarily not that itself, nor is it different from it, therefore it is neither permanent nor annihilated.' This is what was said. How are these two truths established in relation to each other? The false is established in relation to the true, and the true is established in relation to the false. A detailed classification of the two truths will be explained elsewhere, so it is not recorded here. Secondly, the classification of illusion also includes: showing the classification of object and subject, giving examples of false objects, and showing that therefore the world is not harmed by it. From the first aspect, illusion is also considered to be of two types: clear sense faculties and defective sense faculties. The knowledge of those with defective sense faculties is inverted in relation to the knowledge of those with good sense faculties.
