It also contradicts the happiness of the next life. Because the power of anger will bring about unpleasant ripening results. In order to dispel those who are clearly enjoying the fruits of their past karma, but do not understand this principle, but instead think that others have caused harm to themselves and want to retaliate, the following verses are spoken: Whatever past misdeeds have been done, That which is said to exhaust them is precisely that. By harming others and with anger, How does one lead them as seeds? Some people suffer the pain of sharp weapons falling on their bodies, which is caused by enemies, but this is the result of the corresponding cause of their past killing karma. Although this is to exhaust the remaining fruits of the past unwholesome deeds, they do not understand this principle, but instead think that this person has caused harm to themselves. In order to create the seeds of future suffering that are even more severe than the present suffering, how is one led to the lower realms by harming others and with anger? Therefore, just as a doctor cuts open a sore with a sharp instrument to cure a disease, one should be patient with the cause of immediate suffering. In order to explain that impatience is not only the cause of unpleasant ripening results, but also the cause of exhausting the merits accumulated over a long period of time, it is said: Why be angry with the sons of the Buddhas? The merits arising from generosity and discipline, Accumulated over hundreds of kalpas can also be destroyed, Therefore, there is no other sin greater than impatience. Because Bodhisattvas, even if they falsely accuse other Buddha-sons of false or true faults, even if they generate a moment of anger, they can destroy the merits accumulated over hundreds of kalpas arising from generosity and discipline. If a non-Bodhisattva generates anger towards Bodhisattvas, what need is there to say more? Therefore, just as the amount of water in the great ocean cannot be determined by numbers, the boundary of its ripening fruit cannot be determined either. In this way, the sin that brings about unpleasant results and destroys merit is impatience.

That is to say, there is nothing more supreme than anger. Furthermore, it makes one ugly, leads one to the wrong path, steals the ability to discern right from wrong, and quickly throws one into the lower realms due to intolerance. Anger makes one's face ugly because it causes one to frown and darken the complexion. Under the sway of anger, one engages in evil deeds, thus it leads one to the wrong path. Being overwhelmed by anger causes one to be confused about what should be accepted and rejected, thus it also steals the wisdom to discern right from wrong. Moreover, it abandons like-minded companions and throws one into the abyss of the lower realms due to intolerance. Secondly, from the perspective of advising to engage in patience, patience brings about virtues that are contrary to what has been said. And so on. What are the virtues that are contrary to what has been said? It makes one beautiful, desired by noble beings, becomes intelligent and able to discern right from wrong. Other than this, it also causes one to be reborn as gods and humans. Therefore, ordinary beings and bodhisattvas should understand the faults of anger and the virtues of patience, abandon what is intolerable, and constantly rely on the patience praised by the noble ones. One should understand the faults of anger of ordinary beings, and the virtues of patience as spoken by the bodhisattvas, abandon what is intolerable, and constantly rely on the patience praised by the noble ones. Thirdly, in order to explain the distinction between mundane and supramundane, even if patience is dedicated to perfect enlightenment, if there are three fixations, then it is mundane. That is to say, even if patience is dedicated to perfect enlightenment, if there is fixation on the object of patience, the one who practices patience, and the being towards whom patience is practiced, then this is called mundane patience paramita. If there is no fixation, then the Buddha said, 'This is the supramundane paramita.' Being completely seized by the Prajnaparamita, and having no fixation on the three spheres, this is called the supramundane patience paramita. Secondly, other common characteristics, which are the qualities of meditative concentration, refer to the fact that in that realm, meditative concentration and clairvoyance will arise, and desire and hatred
