It is also special because it extensively explains the selflessness of phenomena in order to abandon attachment to phenomena. As the teacher said, "Before realizing the absence of characteristics, you said there is no liberation. Therefore, you have fully explained this in the Great Vehicle." Thus, the fact that Hearers and Solitary Realizers realize the selflessness of phenomena is the non-inverted view of the noble Nagarjuna. Moreover, the Ornament of the Sutras says, "For a person who has abandoned the vast Bodhicitta, abandoning the mind of benefiting others and the means to it, abandoning the joy of profound meaning and the supreme view of it, they will go to peace." Thus, it is said that Hearers and Solitary Realizers do not realize the selflessness of phenomena. Although both have scriptural authority, I see only the reasoning of Nagarjuna as excellent. Secondly, regarding the main characteristic, the explanation of the perfection of generosity, there are three aspects: particularly showing generosity in that ground, incidentally showing the praise of generosity, and showing the distinction between worldly and transcendental. Firstly, in terms of the first point, it is said, "At that time, the cause of perfect enlightenment for him, the first generosity itself becomes superior." It is said. At the time of obtaining the first Bodhicitta, for that son of the Victorious One, the cause of truly perfect enlightenment, the first of the ten perfections, generosity itself, becomes superior, because all the opposing factors of the perfection of generosity have been abandoned. It is not that the other perfections do not exist in this ground. "Even giving one's own flesh is done with respect, and it also becomes a cause for inferring the imperceptible." At that time, because the Bodhisattva practices generosity more and more, not to mention other possessions, even to those who beg, he respectfully cuts off and gives his own flesh. This special action of body and speech also becomes the cause for inferring other imperceptible qualities of the first ground, such as understanding the pervasiveness of the realm of phenomena. Because if one does not understand the pervasiveness of the realm of phenomena and does not realize the equality of self and others, one will not respectfully give one's own flesh for the benefit of others. Incidentally, the praise of generosity is shown, including the praise of the generosity of others and the Bodhicitta.

Regarding the special praise of generosity, there are two aspects. Firstly, considering the first aspect: "All beings desire manifest happiness, And the happiness of people is not without use, Knowing that enjoyment also comes from generosity, Therefore, the Buddha initially spoke of generosity." As it is said, all these beings who are attached to what is contrary desire happiness that merely alleviates suffering such as hunger, thirst, heat, and cold. And the happiness of alleviating the suffering of people does not arise without the enjoyment of food, clothing, and so on. Knowing that those enjoyments that are the cause of alleviating suffering also arise from the merit of generosity, therefore, the capable Bhagavan, knowing the nature of the minds of all beings, initially spoke to those to be tamed, praising generosity and so on. Although it is reasonable for enjoyment to arise from the generosity of a Bodhisattva, how can enjoyment arise from the generosity of those who are not in accordance with the Dharma, who abandon the thought of benefiting others, and who give away a small amount of wealth solely for their own benefit, desiring a great result? The answer is that although the giver is not in accordance with the Dharma, in order to show that generosity produces a result that is in accordance with itself: "Those who are stingy and extremely harsh, Who are solely intent on their own benefit, Even their desired enjoyments, Arise from generosity as a cause for the cessation of suffering." As it is said, the giver, being stingy, abandons the thought of benefiting others, and is extremely harsh due to being dominated by anger. Those who are solely intent on their own benefit, like merchants, give away a small amount of wealth, desiring a great accumulation of wealth as a result. Even the objects of merit that arise from such generosity will become the cause of enjoyments such as food and clothing that pacify suffering such as hunger and thirst in the future. The commentary explains: "Even their objects arising from generosity, Become the cause of enjoyments that pacify suffering."
