In between (the two), showing various aspects of conduct in each moment, the number of which is so great that it is not even equal to the number of fine dust particles in the entire world. This expresses praise to the Bhagavan because he possesses excellent, unparalleled qualities. Third, praising from the perspective of the perfection of qualities, including explaining the chief of qualities—the ten powers—and revealing that (the Buddha's) qualities transcend the realm of expression. First, divided into two parts. Briefly stating: the power of knowing what is possible and impossible, likewise knowing the maturation of actions, understanding various inclinations, and the power of knowing various realms, knowing the superior and inferior faculties and knowing all paths, knowing the dhyanas, liberations, samadhis, and attainments, etc., the power of knowing past lives and knowing death and birth, the power of knowing the exhaustion of all defilements, these are the ten powers. Second, elaborating in detail, divided into ten aspects. First, the power of knowing what is possible and impossible: Whatever arises from a certain cause is certain, the knowers say that is its place. The opposite of what is stated is impossible, the knowable is infinite, unobstructed knowledge is said to be power. From a virtuous and non-virtuous cause, whatever desirable and undesirable result arises, that is possible. As stated before, the opposite of this, from virtue arises undesirable, from non-virtue arises desirable, etc., these are impossible. Therefore, the samadhi and wisdom that enter without obstruction into such limitless knowable things are called the power of knowing what is possible and impossible. Second, the power of knowing the maturation of actions: Desirable and undesirable, and the opposite of that, and defiled and undefiled, etc., for actions and their extremely diverse maturation, knowing their ability to enter separately without obstruction, pervading the knowable of the three times, this is called power. Some actions are desirable and pleasing now, but in the future will produce undesirable maturation; and conversely, some actions are undesirable and displeasing now, but in the future will produce pleasing maturation; and undefiled actions that exhaust defiled actions, and their forms

That which is fully ripened and extremely diverse, encompassed by the three times, pervading all realms of existence, fully knowing their nature and all categories, thereby making wisdom pervade all knowable things, and being able to apply it separately to anything without obstruction, is considered the power of knowing the maturation of karma. Third, the power of knowing various aspirations is: The desire of the power of arising from attachment, etc., is: extremely diverse, inferior, middling, and superior. Knowing the aspirations obscured by other things is: pervading all beings of the three times, called power. Desires or aspirations that are completely grasped by the power of the seeds from which afflictions such as attachment arise, and virtues such as faith, are extremely diverse, with inferior, middling, and very superior ones, and, in addition, aspirations obscured by the general practice of Dharma, also through fully understanding their own nature and categories, etc., the wisdom that pervades all beings of the three times without any obstruction in any way, is called the power of knowing various aspirations. Fourth, the power of knowing various realms is: The wise ones say that the nature of the eye, etc., is the realm, the classification of the Buddha realm. The wisdom of the perfect Buddhas is infinite, entering into the distinctions of all realms, is regarded as power. The nature of the realms of the eye, etc., that is, the distinctions or classifications of characteristics such as inner emptiness, etc., the infinite wisdom of the Buddhas enters into them without obstruction, this is considered the power of knowing various realms. Fifth, the power of knowing superior and non-superior faculties is: Thorough consideration, etc., being extremely sharp is superior, the state of being middling and dull is called non-superior, the ability of the eye, etc., to accomplish each other, fully knowing all ways, is regarded as power without attachment. Because it can control the arising of attachment, etc., thorough consideration is the completely defiled faculty, because it can control the arising of purification, faith, etc., are the pure faculties, these faculties being extremely sharp is superior,
