Liberated in the realm of space. The state of non-liberation is the nature of liberation. From the Four Hundred Verses on the Yogic Practice, this is the explanation of the fifteenth chapter, which is called "Showing the Meditation on Refuting the Meaning of the Conditioned." Commentary on the Sixteenth Chapter. Secondly, showing the necessity of the fifteenth chapter: The necessity of the treatise is to lead sentient beings away from attachment to samsara and place them in nirvana. If the meaning of emptiness is not ascertained as it is, then no one can abandon attachment to samsara and generate joy in nirvana. All dharmas are empty by nature, but those who are controlled by the rope of attachment to self and what belongs to self, and who do not have hearing, are very frightened. Therefore, the wise should gradually introduce some reasoning in the manner of a skilled person hinting to the king that the queen has died. Among them, the inverted world that clings to self and what belongs to self is an obstacle to seeing emptiness in things that are impermanent, etc. After determining the four inversions such as permanence, one realizes that beings are only not empty. Therefore, in order to refute the view of non-emptiness, the first four chapters were composed. In this way, after eliminating the four inversions, when one is certain that conditioned things are impermanent, etc., out of great compassion for sentient beings who are drowning in samsara, which is characterized by impermanence and suffering, etc., one generates the mind of enlightenment, desiring to liberate them. Since one must practice the conduct of a bodhisattva, the fifth chapter was composed to show the conduct of a bodhisattva. Afflictions are obstacles to the practice of a bodhisattva, so the sixth chapter was composed to show the means of eliminating them. To place disciples in nirvana, one must abandon samsara. And it must also be abandoned through the gateway of abandoning the cause, so the seventh chapter was composed to show the means of abandoning karma. In order to make disciples suitable vessels for the profound, the eighth chapter shows how to tame the disciple's mindstream. Thus, the complete purification of the mindstream is

In order to be a suitable vessel for women, in order to generate correct wisdom, and in order to establish that all phenomena are empty of inherent existence, the remaining treatises were composed. Therefore, although thus devoid of the nature of things, due to some causes such as clinging to permanence, things that are empty of inherent existence also appear as if they are not empty. These causes of reversal are individually refuted by all fifteen distinctions. Third, refuting the remaining arguments of bad opponents: Refuting the reasoning that refutes emptiness. Refuting attachment to extremes. Showing that the reasoning of existence and non-existence are the same. Refuting the transformation into nihilism. Refuting the example and reason for establishing emptiness. Explaining the need to show emptiness. Showing that clinging to existence and non-existence is wrong. Reasoning free from extremes cannot refute. First: Cannot refute the other side. Cannot establish one's own side. And the three of refuting other reasons. The first is: If the treatise is composed for the sake of such a need, then by that alone it is established that all phenomena are not empty. Thus, when the author of the treatise exists, and what is said is the meaning shown by the fifteen distinctions, and the word "also" indicates that your words also show the meaning of emptiness, then everything is established, so it cannot be called emptiness. If you say so, it is unreasonable, because like us, we rely on words and what is said to be established as a speaker, not without speaking. Similarly, words and what is said are also established by relying on two others. Therefore, whatever arises in dependence is not inherently existent, so the speaker, what is said, and the three words also have no inherent existence. Therefore, emptiness of inherent existence is established, so there is no fault. If all this is empty, then at that time, all the faculties and objects will cease to exist, becoming like a donkey's horn. If you say so, if the fault of emptiness, as previously stated, thereby establishes non-emptiness, if you say so, if things are not empty, then at that time, since the nature does not change, it will always exist, therefore it will become permanent, unborn, and unceasing. Therefore, it is not emp
