For the most part, people will develop affection for the naked heretics. The suffering of these heretics, such as plucking their hair, does not become a dharma that eliminates sins, because it is the result of evil deeds, just like the suffering of hell beings. Just as the suffering of the naked heretics cannot become dharma, the birth of Brahmins is also not a dharma for attaining heaven, because it is the result of karma, just like the eyes and so on. This negates the assertion that among the four castes, only Brahmins are the basis for practicing dharma such as fire offerings, and therefore are dharma. Secondly, to briefly explain the well-spoken words: If birth and suffering are not dharma, then what is dharma? The thought of harming sentient beings and the actions of body, speech, and mind that arise from it are harm. Non-harm is the opposite of this, the path of the ten virtuous actions, and any actions that slightly benefit others, such as giving and speaking pleasantly, are also included in non-harm. The Tathagatas have said in brief that the dharma that liberates from the lower realms is non-harm. The mind of a yogi meditating on the emptiness of self-nature, like water poured into water, is unborn in the nature of emptiness of objects, and this itself is the cessation of all inversions, and because it does not change into other forms again, it is called Nirvana, as all the Tathagatas have declared. Merely the non-arising of the self-nature of things is not Nirvana, because self-nature does not change. This differs from the views of other schools regarding Nirvana with remainder and Nirvana without remainder, who believe that Nirvana is the abandonment of all afflictions without the cessation of the aggregates, and the complete cessation of the aggregates, but this is not accepted here. Even without abandoning all afflictions, Nirvana can be directly realized through seeing. In the "Sixty Stanzas on Reasoning," it says: 'Just seeing is Nirvana, and it is also the accomplishment of all deeds.' Therefore, directly seeing the Dharmadhatu is the direct realization of Nirvana, and the direct realization of Nirvana does not need to depend on the complete cessation of the aggregates. It also says therein: 'The destruction of things is cessation, the conditioned is completely'

Not by knowing (that one knows). To whom is that manifest? What is the knowledge of destruction like? Thus it is said. Here, the samadhi of the noble ones from the path of seeing onwards is established as nirvana with remainder. When in samadhi, no characteristics of conditioned phenomena appear in the yogi's own perception. This is because the activity of the aggregates has not ceased for other individuals. Having abandoned the activity of life, only the mind-body is formed in the lotus womb of the pure land. This is called nirvana, abiding in the signless samadhi for immeasurable kalpas. This is because the activity of the aggregates has completely subsided in the perception of others. As for establishing two kinds of nirvana for the three kayas, it is said: Nirvana made of aggregates is spoken of for the two form kayas. Because it is free from all aggregates. The dharmakaya has no aggregates. Thus it should be known. Thus, non-harming and emptiness are the causes for attaining higher realms and liberation. Therefore, in the teachings of the Sugata, only these two should be practiced by those who consider themselves virtuous. Or, it means that only in the Buddha's teachings are these two methods for attaining higher realms and liberation completely pure, and not elsewhere. Furthermore, why do outsiders, even though they see this teaching taught by the Tathagata, not enter these two dharmas? Because of attachment to their own side. Thus, attachment to one's own side is something that all beings have been accustomed to from beginningless time, and like one's own birthplace, they cannot completely abandon what they consider to be lovely and agreeable. Then, what cause would make these two dharmas, non-harming and emptiness, which are contrary to the cause that reverses one's own side, become lovely to you outsiders? It simply will not become lovely. Therefore, due to being overly attached to their own views, children do not enter the Buddha's Dharma. Third, the advice to take good speech: Just as a wise person, even if it is his own birthplace, sees it as a cause of decline, he abandons hope in it and relies on another prosperous land. Similarly, those who possess the qualities of reason and meaning, even if it is from other philosophical systems, should be taken by the wise who desire goodness. For example, the sun is the direction of
