"Having printed it, one experiences happiness." Thus it is said. When the Victorious One places his foot on the threshold of the door, whatever blind people there are, those who cannot hear, the unprotected, those with little merit, all of them obtain eyes and ears. Thus it is said. Leaving aside even movement, without depending on the distinctions of mental activity, even the breath that arises naturally occurs solely for the sake of benefiting sentient beings temporarily and ultimately. For example, the breath of the Buddhas, above the vessels of the hells, becomes a great mass of clouds, covering all directions without exception. From that, a great stream of extremely cool rain descends, pacifying the great masses of fire in the hells. Because of this, the suffering sentient beings in the hells think, 'By what power have we become so happy?' Seeing the body of the Buddha blazing with marks and signs, through the cause of generating faith in that, they thin out the accumulation of non-virtuous actions and create roots of virtue that are in harmony with liberation, for the sake of permanently benefiting them. In the 'Praise of the Worthy of Praise,' it also says: 'The breath exhaled by the Buddha, surpasses all scents, if one is aware of it, even those who are hostile, will develop great faith in you. When the breath of the Buddha descends, even the gods who are heedless, abandoning even the realm of the gods, will turn towards discipline.' Thus it is said. Therefore, those who possess intelligence and desire to definitely escape from samsara should first generate faith in the Teacher, the Buddha, the Bhagavan, the support of the Three Jewels, as described above in the excellent speech, and then approach him. Secondly: Those who draw near to him will transcend all suffering until the fear of death arrives. For example, just as the sound of the Lord of Death causes fear in all the world, so too, those who hear the name 'Omniscient One' will have a share in liberation, and therefore this name also causes fear in the Lord of Death, that is, it will conquer the Lord of Death. As the Bhagavan said: 'Whoever hears my name, all of them will attain nirvana through any one of the three vehicles.'

As it is said. Even hearing the name of the Buddha will lead to transcendence of the Lord of Death, what need is there to mention those who practice the path? Therefore, those who wish themselves well should rely on it. The third point is: If one asks about the fourteen objects of non-disclosure, such as "Is the world eternal?" and the Blessed One does not respond, is it not the case that this Blessed One is not omniscient? It is not established that he is not omniscient merely by that. Because the actions of the Able One (Buddha) bring benefit both temporarily and ultimately, and not acting brings harm, and speaking what should be spoken brings benefit, and not speaking what should not be spoken brings harm, he possesses the knowledge of these things as they are. Therefore, the reason why he does not answer the fourteen questions to those who have not become vessels of the profound is because they are not to be spoken, not because he does not know. Because "the world is eternal" and "the world is impermanent" are not to be disclosed. Moreover, the questioners are not vessels of the profound, so he does not teach emptiness, which is free from permanence and annihilation. Therefore, in the Ratnavali it says: "If asked whether the world has an end, the Victorious One remains silent and does not speak. Why is it that such a profound Dharma is not spoken to beings who are not vessels? Therefore, the wise should understand that the Omniscient One knows all." As it is said. Therefore, what reason is there to say that the Omniscient One is not omniscient? Not speaking the profound Dharma to those who have not become vessels of the profound is the proof of the Omniscient One's omniscience. If the Able One does not speak what should not be spoken, then thinking of Devadatta, why did he say, "Son of rags, eater of leftovers"? This is not to harm others, but to prevent him from engaging in evil deeds. Because if Devadatta's faults had not been revealed at that time, many would have followed him, abandoning the correct path taught by the Buddha and embarking on the evil path taught by Devadatta. Therefore, the Buddhas, the Blessed Ones, are skilled in means, and sometimes speak unpleasant words in order to eliminate what is meaningless, but they have no faults, because they intend to benefit beings. Words that are initiated by benefiting beings, even if they are unpleasant,
