They are called Brahmins. Those who act according to the king's commands are of the Kshatriya caste. Those who engage in evil deeds such as plowing fields are of the Vaishya caste. Because of this, and for the sake of their respective livelihoods, the four castes are spoken of in the world, therefore all sentient beings originally have no distinction in caste. Therefore, it is not appropriate to be proud because of caste. If it is said that even if there was no distinction in caste at first, later the four castes such as Brahmins abide, so there are different castes, then it is difficult to obtain the lineage of caste born from parents. Just like this, the distinction of the four castes has appeared in the world, and a very long time has passed until now. Moreover, women's minds are very fickle towards men, so when they unite with other castes and give birth to children, the caste will be defiled. Therefore, the so-called Kshatriya caste, none of them come from their own pure caste lineage, so it is not appropriate to be proud because of caste. If it is said that even if one cannot become a Kshatriya because of caste, but becomes a Kshatriya because of raising the people, then if the Vaishya caste can also be called Kshatriya because of the work of the Kshatriya such as protecting the world, then because of the work of the Brahmins such as giving and receiving, reciting the Vedas, the Vaishya caste can also become Brahmins, what is the reason that it cannot be transformed? In this way, since there is no certainty in caste, one should not be arrogant. If it is said that the king with great royal power can bestow wealth on most people when the time is ripe, so the king is the richest, so it is worthy of pride, then it is true that the king can bestow the wealth accumulated over a long period of time on most people. However, this cannot be done without oppressing most people, and oppressing most people will also turn into a great sin, and because of this, one will suffer great pain in the next life. Therefore, just as the king bestows power, the sins accumulated for that purpose cannot be bestowed on others, but one must endure suffering oneself. Therefore, little help is given to others.

Who is the wise man who, having accumulated great sins for the sake of a small benefit, will destroy himself in the future with its ripening? Therefore, this is a place of shame for the holy ones, not a place of pride. If one thinks that a king who is in the great power of kingship should be arrogant, then when arrogance arises from one's own power, thinking, "I am superior to others," one should look at the perfect power of the capable enemy kings who are equal in power to oneself, or even more superior than oneself. In this way, arrogance born of power will not remain in the hearts of the holy ones. Therefore, one who wishes to benefit beings should abandon arrogance and respect everyone as one would a lama or lord, and should not kill them in particular. If one does so, one will become a vessel for all perfections, because one has entered into the ranks of those who cause beings to rejoice and be satisfied. The teaching on the means of abandoning self-grasping from the Four Hundred Verses on Yoga Practice, which is the commentary on the fourth chapter. Explanation of the Fifth Chapter. Second, regarding the teachings on the conducive conditions, the conduct of Bodhisattvas, etc., there are four points. First, regarding the actual teaching of the conduct of Bodhisattvas, there are: the greatness of the teacher Buddha; the conduct of his sons, the Bodhisattvas; the result of the conduct, the proof of omniscience; and the reason why those of inferior intelligence fear the Great Vehicle. Among these four, the first has three parts: the main point, the benefits that depend on it, and refuting arguments against non-omniscience. The first point is: If someone asks, from where are these excellent words, which explain the reality of the world and the cause of being free from desire, obtained? The answer is: from the Buddhas, the Bhagavat. And what is the Bhagavat like? He is one who is overwhelmed by great compassion and is dedicated to accomplishing the benefit of all beings. Thus, there is not a single movement of body, speech, and mind of the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, that does not benefit sentient beings. As it is said in the Samadhiraja Sutra: "Hundreds of thousands of millions of rays of light emerge from the soles of the feet of the King of Dharma, cooling all sentient beings in hell and freeing them from suffering."
