If someone asks: Then is lust only for women? The lust of fools who are overwhelmed by desire and are shameless arises not only for women with qualities, but arises without distinction for women with or without qualities. Because it does not depend on external causes, but arises mostly from ignorance. Therefore, how can the lust of children who engage without seeing qualities etc. be stopped? It can only depend on negating the cause. Therefore, lusting after women cannot be a reason for having qualities. The third question is: If women can remarry after their husbands die, then should one associate with women who are associated with strong lust? As long as a woman has not left a certain man and has not experienced the body of another man, that woman loves and is very fond of her husband. But when she has experienced the body of another man, she will not only like you alone. Therefore, one should not trust women who are like a terrible disease, who must always be guarded against other men, because if a conflict arises, they will betray you because of changing their minds. The second part is about the faults of women and refuting the view that women are the source of happiness. This includes three aspects: revealing that jealousy and lust are unreasonable. The first point is: If according to worldly treatises, one should enjoy desires in one's youth, and acting according to the treatises will not lead to doing what should not be done, then who would regard the words of those who are intoxicated by the poison of desire, leading themselves and others astray, as truth? Just as the suffering of enjoying desires that lustful people feel in their youth, even if they are not without lust, but in old age, merely remembering these things will cause disgust and regret. Then, how could the liberated Arhats not be disgusted and suffer from the act of desire? They will only feel disgust. The second point is: If it is said that the pleasure of women is the ultimate pleasure in the desire realm, and the reason for this is women, so one should completely possess women, then the pleasure of lust is actually

It is not happiness, because it is merely a fabrication of a deluded mind. Thus, without attachment, there is no pleasure in encountering women. And attachment itself arises from clinging to what is not truly desirable as an object of desire. Therefore, only a fool ignorant of the true nature of things would do so. How can a fool, whose mind always turns away from reality, ever realize true happiness? He can only perceive deluded concepts, and not the slightest bit of happiness. Furthermore, even if one possesses women for the sake of enjoyment, it should be done without jealousy towards other men. What is the point of possessing a woman, claiming she is mine and not another's, and being jealous of other men even when one is not using her oneself? You, who are full of desire, always respect and crave women for the sake of enjoyment, but you cannot always be with her. Thus, even those with attachment become weary of brief enjoyment and abandon women like those without attachment. If it is said in the world that desire is happiness, and that desire cannot exist without women, so one should associate with women for the sake of happiness, then desire is not happiness, because women are associated with in order to subdue it. If desire were inherently happiness, then there would be no need to associate with women to subdue it, because it has never been seen that happiness should be abandoned. If happiness arises from union with women, and therefore other happiness is born from women, then if union with women is the cause of happiness, then whether one has desire or not, the happiness of desire should arise without difference, but this is not the case. Even if one has not abandoned desire, if a woman forcibly unites with those who respect discipline, happiness will not arise, but rather the mind will be distressed. Therefore, even when a man unites with a woman, that happiness arises from the union of the two senses, and from the non-virtuous conceptual thoughts that arise from it. Its cause is...
