Therefore. As it is said in the Sixty Stanzas of Reasoning: "Those who have the nature of great non-contention, they have no side; those who have no side, how can they have another side?" And in the Refutation of Debate: "If I have some vows, then I have some faults; since I have no vows, I am only faultless." Thus it is said. Therefore, as long as one has not realized the state beyond words, one is not a Madhyamika, because one has not realized the meaning of Madhyamika. While not realizing the meaning of Madhyamika, whoever claims to be a Madhyamika will become a liar who speaks of human dharma as supreme, without realizing arrogance. Furthermore, some ordinary great scholars of the noble land (etc.) who claim to be Madhyamikas only have faith in the wisdom of the noble ones, such as Nagarjuna, who have realized the meaning beyond words, but not because they have realized the meaning of Madhyamika themselves. Even great beings like glorious Chandrakirti, who were well-versed in the intentions of the Buddha and Nagarjuna, admitted that they had not independently realized the meaning of Madhyamika. In his own commentary on the Entering the Middle Way, he said: "Its own nature, with the eye of wisdom completely covered by the thick darkness of ignorance, is not accessible to our realm, but is the realm of the bodhisattvas who abide on the higher grounds, such as the sixth. Therefore, it is not appropriate to ask us about it." And again in the same text: "How that profound dharma is realized, through scripture and other reasoning, thus, in the treatises of the noble Nagarjuna, one should explain the way of abiding as it is." Therefore, revealing one's own profound dharma depends on Nagarjuna. Therefore, as long as one's own mind is bound by the fetters of attachment to inherent existence, one should only generate faith in the profound Madhyamika teachings that are beyond words. If one claims to have realized that meaning, or indulges in the conduct of yogis who have realized that meaning, one will incur great degeneration. Here it is said: When the Garuda King flies in the sky, sparrows etc. only have faith.
