Therefore, it is called the path because it brings about renewal. Secondly, its characteristics are threefold: naturally pure, clear about the nature of phenomena, and destroying unfavorable factors. The first point is that this is called "seeing is meaningful," because like a lamp, it is naturally bright. The second point is that this is called "seeing correctly," because it sees the suchness of reality without error. The third point is that this is called "without disease," because it has abandoned all the latent tendencies of afflictions. Moreover, this is not temporary, but permanently abandoned, so it is called "without cessation." The phrase "the wise should know for themselves" indicates the truth of cessation. Because it cannot be speculated upon in four ways, and cannot be expressed by sounds and words, etc., it is the object of the wisdom that yogis realize for themselves. Therefore, the Uttaratantra states: "That which is neither existent nor non-existent, nor both existent and non-existent, nor other than existent and non-existent, cannot be conceived, is beyond definition, is peaceful, realized by each individually, is stainless wisdom, radiant with light, unattached to all objects, and destroys attachment, hatred, and delusion; to that excellent Dharma Sun, I bow down." This is in accordance with what is said and is an explanation of the nature of the Dharma. The qualities of the Sangha are: The Sangha of the Blessed One's disciples are those who have entered well, entered uprightly, entered reasonably, and entered harmoniously. This shows the qualities of practice, because they abide properly in the three trainings of higher morality, higher mind, and higher wisdom. In order, they are those who have entered well, etc. All also practice in harmony because they are consistent in their enjoyment, discipline, views, and rituals. The qualities of being worthy of offering are: The Sangha of the Blessed One's disciples are worthy of universal giving, worthy of supreme giving, worthy of circumambulation, worthy of joining palms, the field of merit in the world, unsurpassed. Because they possess the qualities of the three trainings, one should understand the meaning of two words, two words, and one word in order. The merit of giving is: Alas! I

Among all beings, those who have arisen from all the stains of stinginess, abide with a mind free from the stain of stinginess, and universally perform offerings and generosity, delight in extending their hands, delight in giving freely, such a person, I have obtained a very good gain. This is to say that here also the qualities of generosity belonging to one's own continuum are shown, namely, abandoning the stain of stinginess, having the nature of generosity, exerting diligence with the body, completely giving away possessions, and being very happy about it. The qualities of morality are: My morality is not impaired, without fault, unmixed, undefiled, having independence, praised by the wise, and meditative concentration is to be cultivated. This is to say that this also shows the qualities of morality belonging to one's own continuum. The meanings of the words are: Your morality is not impaired but not low, unmixed and undefiled, please practice accordingly. These will be explained there. The qualities of the gods are: There are gods of the four great king's retinue, and gods from the Thirty-three up to the gods who control others' emanations. This is to say that remembering the qualities that are the cause of rebirth of the gods, and making the qualities of one's own morality and meditative concentration etc. the same, is remembering the gods. In general, advising to perform virtue. Secondly, in general, advising to abide on the path of virtuous actions. Like this, the six recollections, because they are the companions of the mind and the cause of great merit, are first taught, in order to show that with a mind of great faith in this, one should strive for virtue. Therefore it is said: "The ten paths of virtuous actions, with body, speech, and mind, constantly practice with diligence." It means that because it produces many pleasing fruits, it is virtue, because it becomes the essence of action, it is action, because it is the path to go to the good realms, it is the path. That is, there are ten aspects, from abandoning killing to right view. Among them, abandoning killing etc. are the three of the body, abandoning lying etc. are the four of speech, and without greed etc. are the three of the mind, in order, through body, speech, and mind.
