He causes the dishonest to enter honesty, and urges the lazy with a whip. Just as wild animals that cannot be harnessed to a chariot are temporarily left alone, so too does the Bhagavan. Those who are suitable to be harnessed to the chariot of the noble path are harnessed to it. When harnessed, some who act contrary to the teachings are punished. He causes those who go astray to enter the right path. He urges the lazy with the whip of diligence. Those who are unruly and cannot be harnessed to the path are temporarily left alone. Therefore, he is called the unsurpassed tamer of men. As it is said in the "Praise of One Hundred and Fifty": You urge those who delay, You punish those who steal, You set the deceitful on the right path, You encourage the slow, You harness the tamed to the path, You are indifferent to the wild. Therefore, you are the unsurpassed charioteer of the tamer of men. Thus it is said. Gods and humans are the main objects of taming because they are suitable vessels for the path of liberation, and because they teach the Dharma according to their wishes, they are the teachers of gods and humans. To show that the Buddha Bhagavan possesses these qualities, these two names are also mentioned. Among them, in order to awaken from the sleep of ignorance, and in order to expand wisdom in knowable things, therefore he is the Buddha. The qualities of the Dharma are as follows: The Dharma of the Bhagavan is well-spoken, truly seen, without disease, without time limit, leading to Nirvana, seeing this is meaningful, and is to be known by the wise individually. This briefly shows the Dharma of teaching and the Dharma of realization. Among them, well-spoken refers to the Dharma of teaching, because it is virtuous in the beginning, middle, and end, in order to generate the wisdom of hearing, thinking, and meditating in order. The rest shows the Dharma of realization. Among them, the first five words show the truth of the path, which is divided into two types: essence and characteristics. The first is to lead to Nirvana, that is, the practitioner can obtain the fruit of Nirvana.
