If something decaying is born here, then it will change from a previously unarisen state to a later arisen state. This is also unreasonable, because it is impossible to change from unarisen to arisen. This will lead to a fault. I become a created thing, and arising also becomes without cause. I am not arising from a previously unarisen state, because this will lead to a great fault. What is that fault? If I change from a previously unarisen state to a later arisen state, then I will become a created thing, but we do not think that I am created, because this will lead to my being impermanent. Moreover, there is no creator different from me to prove this. If I think that I am created, then samsara will have a beginning, and beings that did not exist before will also arise. Furthermore, since there was no I before, there is no creator, so the arising of the present I becomes without cause. The word "also" indicates discrimination: we do not accept that I become created, or that I did not arise in the past. We do not accept that arising becomes without cause, or that I did not arise in the past. Third, refuting the view regarding the three aspects of the aggregates: Thus, I have arisen, I have not arisen, Both are, both are not, Whoever observes the past, Is not reasonable. Thus, as has been said, did I arise in the past? Or, did I not arise in the past? Whoever observes the past is not reasonable. Because these two do not exist, both are unreasonable. If these two are combined and called "both," then since each one does not exist, their combination also does not exist. Since these two do not exist, it is also unreasonable to think that "neither" exists by negating them. Therefore, it is unreasonable to say "neither arising nor unarising." Second, refuting the view based on the future extreme: In the future, will arise and will not arise, Whoever observes those, Is the same as the past.

If it is said that it is neither produced nor not produced, then all those views that look to the later extreme should be understood to be the same as the four views that look to the past time, in terms of discussion and refutation. For example: "It is said that it will arise in the future, That is not reasonable, Whatever arises in the future, That is not the same as this (now)." etc. "It is said that it will not arise in the future, That is also not reasonable, Whatever arises in the future, That is not other than this (now)." etc. Thus, self-arising, self-not-arising, Both are, both are not, Whatever future view there is, That is not reasonable. " Above, the previous (content) is extracted and combined in a reversed way. Third, refuting other categories of views based on the former and later extremes, divided into refuting views of permanence, etc., and refuting views of having limits, etc. The first is divided into general refutation and special refutation of the permanent self. The first has four points, the first point is refuting permanence: If the god is that person, Then it will become permanent, The god will become unborn, Because the permanent has no birth. Here, some who abide in the human realm, after performing virtuous deeds, will be reborn in the realm of the gods in the next life. Although the Blessed One has repeatedly cleared away the darkness of extreme views, other schools have not actually been liberated from the extremes of permanence and annihilation. Why? Because it cannot withstand the examination of one and different, and both. How so? If the god and the non-god are one, How can it be permanent and unchanging? If the god and the non-god are different, How can it not reasonably become annihilation? If the god and the non-god, that is, the son of the giver, are clung to as one or different in the former and later aggregates, the above-mentioned faults will occur. If it is thought that because the non-god is born from the cause of the previous non-god aggregates, and the god completely grasps the god's aggregates, so it is the nature of both. The answer is: Even if it is both yes and no, At the time of Nirvana, one ceases and the other does not. Because the continuum of aggregates is cut off, there is no escape from the extreme of annihilation. Also, if what has ceased will arise, How is it not permanent? If what has ceased will not arise, How is it not a nihilist? The previous non-god ceased
