Therefore, the world will become endless. If the previous human body does not perish, and the subsequent divine body does not arise relying on this human body, then, the previous body itself enters another world without being damaged, therefore the world will become endless. When the previous body ceases and the subsequent bodies, which are caused by it, arise, then the world will not become endless. Second, refuting the third kind of body's view, which includes refuting the view of "being two" and refuting the view of "not being two," the first is: If one side has an end and one side becomes endless, the world will become both finite and infinite, which is also unreasonable. If some people transfer from this world to the other shore, one side of my body has an end because it perishes, and one side does not perish and enters, becoming endless, then the world will become both finite and infinite. It is also unreasonable for one side to perish and one side not to perish, because it is not permissible for contradictions to exist in one thing. Why is it unreasonable for one side to perish and one side to remain? If one imagines here that one side perishes and one side remains, is it on the taker or on the taken? If it is the former, then how can it be that on the taker, one side completely perishes and one side completely does not perish? That is unreasonable. The taker is the self, and it cannot be found when searching in the five aggregates. How can something that does not exist have one side completely perishing and one side completely not perishing? Therefore, that is unreasonable. If it is the latter, then how can it be that on the taken, one side completely perishes and one side completely does not perish? If there is some taker, then the taken should also exist. When searching in five ways and no taker can be found, therefore when the taken also does not exist, how can it be that one side of the taken perishes and one side does not perish? Therefore, that

English

Similarly, it is also unreasonable. The second case is: If it is said that both having an end and having no end are established, then it becomes neither having an end nor having no end. If it is thought that this can be established, it is unreliable. If it is said that the previous skandha does not perish, and is reborn into the next life without end, and the previous one perishes, and there is no next life arising with an end, and both of these are established, then by way of negating them, something that is neither having an end nor having no end is established. If, as mentioned before, having an end and having no end do not exist, then negating them is also meaningless. Therefore, saying neither having an end nor having no end is unreasonable. Secondly, refuting based on ultimate truth: Or all things, because of emptiness, views of permanence, etc., which ones, where, to whom, from where do they all arise? If it is admitted that the grasper and the grasped, the conventional dependent arising, are like images, then it is shown that it is impossible to have views of permanence, etc. Or, all internal and external things, because they are dependently arising, all scriptures show that they are emptiness. Therefore, the views of permanence, etc., mentioned above, which ones arise from outside of all things? Similarly, in which place do views arise, and what is the object of those views, permanence, etc., that are not included in all things, which we want to eliminate? What do views rely on to arise, and what is the thing or person that we want to eliminate, which is outside of all things? From what cause do views arise completely, and what is the cause of those views, which is outside of all things? Because all meanings are included in all things, and all things have already been determined to be emptiness. Therefore, clinging to views of permanence, etc., is unreasonable, and is unreasonable in both truths. As it is said in the sutra: If someone, with correct wisdom, truly understands dependent arising as it is, then they will not cling to permanence or annihilation, will not accumulate, will not be as it is, will not be confused, will not arise, will not appear, will not be created.

And uncreated, and unobstructed, and unhindered, and peaceful, and indestructible, and unseizable, and inexhaustible, and seeing it as a nature that is not completely pacified, and non-existent, and accumulating, and decaying, and without essence, and disease, and tumor, and pain, and sin, and impermanent, and suffering, and emptiness and selflessness, after truly seeing it, is that, did I appear in the past? Or did I not appear in the past? What did I become in the past? What did I become like in the past? Like that, not relying on the past limit, and so on, as it is said. Third, the limb of accomplishing the deed, making prostrations with gratitude is: Thus, as it is said, the profound dependent arising, in order to definitely liberate from samsara, showing the path without error, only the Teacher, the Bhagavan, whose mind is extremely pleased, wishing to prostrate through the door of remembering kindness. By whom, with compassion holding near, in order to abandon all views, the holy Dharma is taught, I prostrate to Gautama. The Buddha Bhagavan, regardless of gain, respect, and repayment, etc., with compassion holding near the beings to be tamed, in order to abandon all views of clinging to the root of suffering, saving from the precipice of samsara and nirvana, or relied upon by the noble and excellent ones, or the good Dharma is the excellent Dharma, that is, dependent arising, without cessation, etc., the nature of pacifying proliferation, showing without error, the unsurpassed teacher, the incomparable one, I prostrate to him. What is the name? Because he was born into the lineage of the sage Gautama, he is known as Gautama in the three realms. From the Root Wisdom of the Middle Way, the commentary on the chapter called "Examination of Views" is the twenty-seventh explanation.
