If one is born as a god in the next life, how can it not be permanent? Because even after ceasing, it is born again. If there is no rebirth, how can it be annihilation? Because after ceasing, there is no rebirth at all. Therefore, because that does not exist, it is not born. Permanence and annihilation are not logical. The state of a thing that is born and remains without decaying is permanence, and that which is born and decays is annihilation. That which is not born will not become permanent, but will become annihilation. Therefore, according to our wishes, if it is proven that there is no origination in the ultimate truth, then it is reasonable that there is neither permanence nor annihilation, but your concept of continuity is not reasonable. If the god of the next life is the same as the person of the previous life, then it would become permanent. But it is not reasonable to say that the god is the person, because one would become various beings. Furthermore, if it is permanent, then the later god would become unborn, because permanence has no birth. Wherever and whenever, there is no existence without dependence. Therefore, the so-called permanence does not exist at all. Like this, permanence cannot arise because it does not exist. Second, refuting impermanence. If the god is different from the person, then it becomes impermanent. If the god and the person are different, then the continuum is not reasonable. If the later god is different from the previous person, then just as a mango tree is not a descendant of a neem tree, the god and the person will not belong to the same continuum. In that case, the previous person becomes impermanent because of destruction. If the god and the person are different, then it is not reasonable to belong to the same continuum. The god and the person belong to the same continuum, so they are not different. Therefore, the previous person is also not impermanent because the continuum is not interrupted. Third, refuting that both are true. If one part is a god and one part is a person, then it becomes permanent and impermanent. This is also not reasonable. If this person is transformed into the state of a god, and one part does not abandon the person and one part takes the body of the god, then the part that abandons the person and takes the god is the god, and the part that does not abandon the person is the person. The part that is the person is permanent because the previous state has not decayed.
