because it enters from that starting point. The nature of those two truths has already been explained. Secondly, those who do not fully understand the distinctions between these two truths do not understand the profound reality of the Buddha's teachings. Because all the teachings of the Buddhas enter from the teaching of the two truths as their subject matter, those objectivists who do not follow the system of the noble Nagarjuna, those who do not fully understand the distinctions between the two truths as described above, do not understand the profound suchness of the Buddha's teachings. As it is said in the Engaging in the Bodhisattva Deeds: "For those who are outside the path of the master Nagarjuna, there is no method of pacification. Those who fall away from the conventional and ultimate truths, having fallen away from the two truths, there is no attainment of liberation." As it is said. Thirdly, if the ultimate truth is of a nature that is free from elaboration, then it would be appropriate to teach only that. What is the purpose of teaching the aggregates, elements, and sense bases, etc., which are not ultimate? That is true, but nevertheless, without relying on conventions, one cannot teach the ultimate meaning. Without understanding the ultimate meaning, one will not attain nirvana. Knowable, knower, expressible, expresser, etc., without relying on the conventional truth of the world and without accepting it, one cannot teach the ultimate truth, and without teaching it, one cannot realize it, and without realizing the ultimate truth, one will not attain nirvana. Therefore, because it is a method for attaining nirvana, like a vessel for one who desires water, one should first accept and teach how the conventional exists without negating it. Fourthly, therefore, the yogi who knows the establishment of the two truths as described above without reversing them will not fall into the two extremes. Like this, because one does not accept anything as the nature of things, one does not slander that what existed before disappears later, and because one does not harm the conventional world which is like an image, one also accepts actions and their results, dharma and non-dharma, etc., and one does not superimpose anything on the ultimate reality, because

Because only in things that lack inherent existence can one see karma and its results, etc., while in things that possess inherent existence, the relationship of karma and its results is not appropriate, and neither is dependent origination, etc. Those who speak of emptiness without understanding the distinction between the two truths will fall into the abyss of wrong views. For example: If one views emptiness incorrectly, it will destroy those of little wisdom, just like grasping a snake incorrectly, or incorrectly practicing a mantra. There are two ways of viewing emptiness incorrectly: conceiving of emptiness as the meaning of the non-existence of things, and conceiving of emptiness as the true nature of things. Among these, conceiving of emptiness as the meaning of the non-existence of things will either lead to the wrong view of nihilism, asserting that all phenomena are empty and therefore do not exist, thus denying everything. As it is said in the Ratnavali: If this Dharma is wrongly grasped, the unwise will be ruined, like sinking into the mire of seeing nothingness. If one does not wish to deny everything, but clings to emptiness as the meaning of non-existence, and considers those sutras that teach that all dharmas are without inherent existence to be teaching annihilationism, then by abandoning emptiness, one will inevitably go to the lower realms due to the karma of being impoverished of Dharma. As it is said: Furthermore, if this is wrongly grasped, foolish and arrogant people, by abandoning it, become evil beings, and will universally go to Avici. Thus, for the time being, grasping emptiness as the meaning of the non-existence of things destroys the grasper. If one clings to emptiness as the true nature of things, then one has entered the wrong path to liberation, and like a patient abandoned by a doctor, one is an incurable holder of wrong views, because in that case, teaching emptiness is without result. Therefore, the teacher said: In order to destroy all conceptualizations, you taught the nectar of emptiness, but you also criticized those who have attachment even to that. Therefore, even if one clings to emptiness as a thing, it destroys the grasper. Therefore, emptiness
