If it is said that there is action and an agent, then that which is not fabricated, that is, that which is not in the process of acting, will also become an action, and that which does not act will also become an agent. If this is the case, then it is not so. Therefore, things are not non-empty. The third fault is that if all phenomena are permanent: If self-nature exists, then beings, unborn and unceasing, will become permanent, and will be free from various stages. If someone says that things exist by self-nature, because self-nature is not fabricated and there is no change, then outer and inner beings will not be born or cease. Therefore, beings will become permanent. In this way, because they do not depend on causes and conditions, outer and inner things will be free from various stages such as infancy and youth. As the Blessed One said: If there is even a little non-emptiness, then the Victorious One will not speak any teachings, it will become unchanging, and each thing will remain permanent, neither increasing nor completely decaying. As the Noble Elephant Power said: If the dharmas have some self-nature, then the Victorious One and the Hearers would know it. Permanent dharmas will not pass into nirvana, and the wise will never become without elaboration. Like this. The fourth is to reveal other reasons why the terms of transcendence of the world are not appropriate: For those who say that things have self-nature, not only are worldly terms inappropriate, but also transmundane terms are inappropriate. If emptiness does not exist, then there is no obtaining of what has not been obtained, and the action of ending suffering, and the abandonment of all afflictions do not exist. If emptiness does not exist, and all of this has self-nature, then what has not been obtained is only what has not been obtained, so the result that was not obtained before will not be obtained later. Similarly, suffering that has not ended before will not end suffering later. All the afflictions that have not been abandoned before will not be abandoned later. In this way, for those who admit that things have self-nature, all worldly and transmundane terms will become unreasonable. Three

The explanation of showing that seeing the truth is through understanding dependent origination: If liberation is not attained without seeing the truth, and even for those who claim that things have inherent existence, if they do not fully understand the truth in the way described above, then how can they fully understand the reality of the truth? Therefore, it is said: Whoever sees dependent origination, sees suffering, the origin of suffering, the cessation of suffering, and the path to liberation. Whoever sees dependent origination, which is characterized by emptiness, in a way that does not see it, sees suffering, the origin of suffering, the cessation of suffering, and the paths that lead to the cessation of suffering, as they truly are. As it is said in the "Sutra Showing the Entry into All Dharmas for the Noble": "Manjushri, whoever sees all dharmas as unborn, fully knows suffering. Whoever sees all dharmas as non-existent, abandons the origin. Whoever sees all dharmas as completely pacified, realizes cessation. Manjushri, whoever sees all dharmas as without substance, cultivates the path." and so on, extensively explained. This is the commentary on the twenty-fourth chapter of the "Fundamental Wisdom of the Middle Way," called "Examination of the Noble Truths." Explanation of the Twenty-fourth Chapter.
