Who holds me? If it is self-nature itself, then what is not attained (through effort) as a result, how can it be attained? For those who accept self-nature, if the four fruits are not previously attained by self-nature, then how can they be attained later? Because self-nature is irreversible and completely holds in all aspects. Therefore, if there is no fruit, there is no fruit-position; those who have entered (the path) also do not exist. If there are eight types of individuals, then the Sangha does not exist. This meaning should be understood as explained earlier in the context of refuting the opponent's view. Second, the Dharma Jewel is unreasonable, because there are no Noble Truths, so the excellent Dharma also does not exist. This is also obvious. Third, the Buddha Jewel is unreasonable, divided into two parts: the actual statement and the explanation of other ways of refutation. The first part: If the Dharma and Sangha do not exist, how can the Buddha exist? This meaning has also been explained before. The second part: Furthermore, if you accept self-nature, then your Buddha's enlightenment should also be established as not relying (on other conditions). Your enlightenment should also be established as not relying on the Buddha. If, according to you, there is some Buddha established by self-nature, then he should also be established as not relying on enlightenment with the characteristic of omniscient wisdom, because "self-nature is uncreated and does not depend on others." Similarly, enlightenment should also be established as not relying on the Buddha, because it is established by self-nature. According to your self-nature itself, if one is not a Buddha, then no matter how much one practices the conduct of enlightenment for the sake of enlightenment, seeking enlightenment for countless eons, one will not be able to attain enlightenment, because the self-nature of non-Buddha cannot be reversed. The second part has four points, the first point is that abandoning and adopting virtue and non-virtue is unreasonable: Nothing will ever become virtue or non-virtue, because for something that is not empty, there is no use in doing anything, self-nature has no function. The self-nature of things

If one admits that it is established by its own nature, then abstaining from killing, etc., is Dharma, and one will never do things that are not Dharma, such as killing. Because for things that are not empty and are established by their own nature, what Dharma and non-Dharma should be done? Because there is no action in self-nature. Without Dharma and non-Dharma, The result will also be with you, The result arising from Dharma and non-Dharma, The result will not be with you. If the result of Dharma and non-Dharma exists by its own nature, then even without the cause—Dharma and non-Dharma—those results, pleasant and unpleasant, will exist in you. When there is no Dharma and non-Dharma, and the result exists, then the result arising from the cause of Dharma and non-Dharma, pleasant and unpleasant, will not exist in you. Because for the result established by its own nature, Dharma and non-Dharma as a cause are meaningless. Arising from the cause of Dharma and non-Dharma, If the result truly exists in you, Result arising from Dharma and non-Dharma, Why is it not empty and unreal? If the result arising from the cause of Dharma and non-Dharma exists, then why is the result arising from the cause of Dharma and non-Dharma, pleasant and unpleasant, not emptiness? Because it is dependent origination. One should think as if contemplating an image. Secondly, the speech of worldly actions is unreasonable: For those who establish emptiness as dependent origination, What can harm this emptiness? Worldly names and speech, Harm all conditioned phenomena. If one admits that things have self-nature, then what can harm and refute dependent origination, which is the emptiness of self-nature? Those worldly sayings such as "Go, do, cut, dig," etc., are harmful to all things that have the nature of dependent origination. Furthermore, If there is something that can harm emptiness, Then there will be no actions at all, Non-action will also be an action, Non-doer will also be a doer. If things harm emptiness by their own nature, and one admits that they have self-nature, then, because of the existence of self-nature, no one will have any action, just as no one would cover the sky.
