Because for some things, their self-nature birth is not accepted, therefore, all the examples set up to establish self-birth are not established because they are the same as what is to be established. Therefore, the statement "it is born from itself" is sufficient to refute this claim, as it acknowledges an unreasonable view, which is merely deceiving oneself. Second, the reductio ad absurdum of expressing contradiction is: If one says, "it is born from itself," then, since it is acknowledged that the existence of oneself is the cause, and that oneself is also born, it should also be concluded that the birth of a pot from a lump of clay is also a meaningless birth, because it already exists, like an obviously visible pot. Because the reason for exclusion has been explicitly acknowledged, and universality is established through reason, it must be acknowledged even unwillingly. For it has never been seen in the world that things that already exist, such as the pot in front, are born again. If the Madhyamika school must also acknowledge that existence is pervaded by non-birth, then this contradicts the non-acknowledgment of existence. If the Madhyamika school does not acknowledge existence at all, then how does it acknowledge that non-birth pervades existence? Because the birth of existing things is not known in the world, it is merely expressing a contradiction with the world to say that existing things are born. Even if the birth of existing things is not known in the world, it can be established through inference, because the birth of non-existent things is unreasonable. If things have self-nature birth, then because non-existent things do not arise, existing things must arise. However, because some things do not have self-nature birth, neither existing nor non-existent things arise. If non-existent things arise, then like rabbit horns, etc., would also arise. If existing things arise, then things that already exist would also arise again, therefore, this fault is the same. There is also no fault of throwing back a refutation, because sounds serve to express the meaning that the speaker intends to express, and are not autonomous. The Madhyamika school's expression of reductio ad absurdum is only intended to express a contradiction with the opponent's commitment or a contradiction with reason, and not to refute the refutation. Therefore, any of the three aspects of the reductio ad absurdum put forward by the Madhyamika school is acknowledged by the opponent, and any one is established through fame or reason, and what contradicts fame and reason must also be abandoned by the opponent, because other

Because that would become abandoning the path of reasoning. The meaning established by conventional reasoning is not something that Madhyamikas accept as their own system in front of others, because convention is merely worldly terminology, and reasoning is merely the meaning obtained by acknowledging convention and reality. Madhyamikas do not accept either convention or reality as truly existent. Therefore, for Madhyamikas, saying that all consequences without acceptance are only applied to the opponent's acceptance, and saying that any of the three wheels must be established as valid in one's own system, both of these are initiated out of ignorance. Thus, as stated, merely by pointing out the contradictions within one's own system and the faults that contradict conventional reasoning, one can refute the opponent. If it is said that misperception and doubt can only be dispelled by valid cognition and not by anything else, and therefore it is necessary to show inference, then even so, the self-sufficient inference is meaningless, because it can be dispelled merely by the sign and example that are known to the opponent himself or to the world in general. For example, the Samkhyas believe that a pot exists in the clay lump in an unmanifest nature and is produced, but they do not believe that the pot that is clearly manifest in front of them is also produced. Then the unmanifest pot is also not produced, because it exists in its own nature. For example, like the clearly manifest pot, when this is established, the sign, example, and subject are all without fault for the Samkhyas. If the Samkhyas believe that only existence is produced, so the pervasion of the sign is not established, then when Buddhists establish to the Vaisheshikas that sound is impermanent because it exists, for example, like a pot, why would it not become an uncertain sign, since the opponent believes that atoms and space, etc., are also permanent? For that, because the example can establish that existence is pervaded by impermanence on the pot, it will not become uncertain. Then here, because production is meaningless for existence, why can't pervasion be established on the pot in front of us? Therefore, the three aspects of this sign are only established for the Samkhyas, so for them, this sign is without fault. If the opponent
