If things are not existent, then arising and ceasing do not exist. Because there is no basis, the dependent will not be established, it should be understood in this way. Why are things not existent? Because without arising and ceasing, things are not existent. It should be thought that things exist because there is arising and ceasing. Arising and ceasing are the characteristics of things, and these have already been negated. When they are negated, because there is no arising and ceasing as the characteristics of things, things are not existent. Third, examining emptiness and non-emptiness to refute: Furthermore, arising and ceasing are speculated on whether things are empty or non-empty. Regarding this, first of all, arising and ceasing for emptiness are not reasonable. Because there is no basis, arising and ceasing are not reasonable in emptiness, just like a drawing in the sky. Similarly, arising and ceasing are also not reasonable for non-emptiness. Non-emptiness is because it exists by its own nature, arising and ceasing are not reasonable. Fourth, examining one and different to refute: Furthermore, if arising and ceasing exist, then are they one or different? Arising and ceasing, as one, are not reasonable. Arising and ceasing are like light and darkness, because they contradict each other, so it is not reasonable to be one. Arising and ceasing, as different, are also not reasonable. Arising and ceasing as different are also not reasonable, because one has not seen arising separated from ceasing, or ceasing separated from arising, so the two will not be confused with each other. Second, refuting the contradiction with what is seen, divided into reality and explaining the argument. The first part is: What is the use of doing such a detailed analysis? Because arising and ceasing are seen by people, including ordinary shepherds, so they exist; the son of a barren woman who does not exist is not seen, if you think so. If that's the case, if you think that arising and ceasing are seen, then arising and ceasing are seen with ignorance. If you think that arising and ceasing are seen by people, including ordinary shepherds, so they exist, then this is uncertain, whatever is seen by worldly people must be existent
