How is the fruit produced? Just as a barren woman's son cannot produce himself, so he cannot produce a son. Therefore, the fruit produced by aggregation does not exist. The second case is: if the fruit produced by aggregation does not exist, then does the fruit produced by non-aggregation exist? The fruit produced by non-aggregation does not exist. When the fruit produced by aggregation does not exist, how can the fruit produced by non-aggregation exist? Therefore, the fruit produced by non-aggregation also does not exist. Second, the conclusion of the obstruction is: if the fruit does not exist like that, but the aggregation of causes and conditions exists, and because of its existence, the fruit also exists, is that so? The fruit does not exist. How can the aggregation of conditions exist? When the fruit does not exist according to the reason just stated, how can the aggregation of conditions exist without reason? It is thought that it does not exist. In the Holy Extensive Play Sutra, it is said: The lips and throat depend on the palate, and the tongue turns to produce the sound of letters, but it does not depend on the throat, nor does it come from the palate. Each individual letter cannot be determined. Relying on that aggregation, language arises from the power of the mind's wisdom, but the mind and language are invisible and shapeless, and cannot be determined internally or externally. When the wise analyze the arising and passing away of language, sound, and melody, they will see that all language is like an echo in a valley, fleeting and without substance. So it is said. In the Root Wisdom of the Middle Way, the examination of aggregation is the commentary on the twentieth chapter. Explanation of the twenty-first chapter. The twenty-first chapter, examining arising and ceasing, is divided into two parts: a general refutation of arising and ceasing, and a specific refutation of production. The first part is further divided into two parts: the main text and the elimination of contradictions with what is seen. The first part is further divided into four parts: refutation of simultaneous and separate establishment, refutation after examining exhaustion and non-exhaustion, refutation after examining emptiness and non-emptiness, and refutation after examining one and different. The first part is further divided into three parts: brief indication, detailed explanation, and summary of meaning. The first part is: Here it is said that time exists by its own nature, because it is the cause of arising and destruction. Here, sprouts and so on are the differences of time.
