Just as a sprout comes from a seed, whatever seed it is, that is not the same sprout. It is neither different from it nor is it not it. Thus, it is neither permanent nor impermanent, such is the nature of things. Thus it is said. Fifth, the greatness of Suchness: In this way, according to the manner described, The teachings of the Buddhas, the protectors of the world, Become nectar, They are neither one nor different, They are neither cessation nor permanence. The teachings of the perfectly complete Buddhas, the saviors of the world without saviors, the protectors of those without protectors, the protectors of the world, the sacred Dharma, which is the nectar that completely cuts off old age and death, in the manner described, know that it is neither one nor different, neither cessation nor permanence. When the Hearers gradually enter this nectar of Suchness through the three practices of hearing, contemplation, and meditation, because they closely practice the nectar of the three aggregates of morality, concentration, and wisdom, they will surely attain the Nirvana where old age and death are exhausted. If the roots of virtue are not fully ripened, even if one hears the nectar of Suchness, one will not attain liberation. However, in another life, one will surely attain it through the power of the previous cause. As it is said in the Hundred Treatises: If one knows this here, Even if one does not attain Nirvana, In the next life, without effort, One will surely attain it like work. Thus it is said. If one does not encounter the appearance of a Buddha in another life, how can Nirvana be attained since there is no condition for teaching Suchness? When the perfect Buddhas do not appear, And the Hearers are also exhausted, The wisdom of the solitary Buddhas Arises greatly from the absence of teaching. When the perfect Buddhas do not appear in the world, and their Hearers are also exhausted, at that time, even though the conditions for showing the noble path are lacking, solely from the power of the cause of hearing Suchness in previous lives, without relying on the proximate teaching of this world, the wisdom of the solitary Buddhas arises without relying on a spiritual friend, but only by relying on the condition of the solitude of body and mind. Why? Because at the time when Buddhas do not appear, the solitary Buddhas

Therefore, in order to realize Suchness, it should be known that the sacred Dharma spoken by the perfectly complete Buddha, the King of Medicine, namely the nectar of Suchness as it is spoken, has results. Therefore, those with wisdom should seek Suchness even at the cost of their lives, just as the Bodhisattva Sadāprarudita sought the Blessed Mother. As it is said, in the Noble Eight Thousand Stanza Prajñāpāramitā: "Blessed One, how did the Bodhisattva, the great being Sadāprarudita, seek this Perfection of Wisdom?" The Blessed One said to the venerable Subhuti: "Subhuti, the Bodhisattva, the great being Sadāprarudita, formerly, when seeking this Perfection of Wisdom, did not cherish his body, did not look to his life, did not dwell on gain, respect, and verses, but sought completely, thus he sought." This is the commentary on the eighteenth chapter of the Root Wisdom of the Middle Way, called "Examination of Self."

Because it is not dependent. For example, just as one's own daughter does not depend on a corpse. If they exist in the past time, then they will also become past like the past self-nature. Therefore, they will not become past either. Because from the present, the past is the past, and what is not obtained is the future. For things that become past by the past, because there is no present and future. If you want to avoid that fault, (then): the present arising and the future, if that does not exist, the present arising and the future, how can they depend on it? If the present arising and the future do not exist in the past time, therefore, the present arising and the future, like a lotus in the sky, how can they depend on the past? It should not be dependent. If according to the time theorists, time is real, so there is no need for dependence, if that is the case, then: without depending on the past, it is impossible for those two to be established. Therefore, the present arising and the future, time also does not exist. The two times of past and future, it is impossible to be established by their own nature, because they do not depend on the past, like the horns of a donkey. Because it is like that, therefore the present arising and the future time do not exist. The second is: the way of sequence is, through these two, the remaining two are also refuted, and the superior and inferior, middle, etc., one, etc., should also be known. The present arising and the future, do they depend on the past? Even if they don't depend, it's okay. Through these two ways of sequence that are not established, the refutation of the remaining two should also be known alternately. How is it? The past and the future, if they depend on the present arising, the past and the future, will exist in the present time. The past and the future time, if that does not exist, the past and the future time, how can they depend on it? Without depending on the present, it is impossible for those two to be established. Therefore, the past and the future, time does not exist. Even if written in prose, it is almost the same. Because it is also in the Commentary on the Clear Words. This is called one refutation of time. The past and the present arising, if they depend on the future, the past and the present arising, will exist in the future time. The past
