Since the nature of peace and cessation, Nirvana, is beyond the reach of speech and mind because it is unborn and unceasing. However, if it is not shown, then the beings to be tamed will not be able to know it, and in order to make the beings to be tamed enter into it, it is necessary to rely on the conventional truth to explain the order of how to show it. So, here, it should be understood that the order of the teachings by which the Buddhas enter into the nectar of Suchness is as follows: All is true, not true. True, not true, is true. Not true, not true, is not true. This is what the Buddha revealed. In this regard, whatever one delights in, that should be examined first. One who has fallen is definitely not a vessel of the true Dharma. Just as barbarians cannot understand other languages, so too, one who is not of the world cannot grasp the world. Therefore, at the very beginning, the Blessed One, in order to generate respect in the world, thinking, 'This one is all-knowing, all-seeing, knowing all the ways of the world,' relied on the views of the world and declared that the arising, destruction, and abiding of the world of containers and contents, and the aggregates, elements, and sense bases, etc., which those obscured by ignorance consider to be true, are all truly existent. When they believe that the Blessed One is all-knowing, in order to make them renounce samsara, he taught that all compounded things are destroyed moment by moment, and therefore are not true. For some beings to be tamed, in relation to childish beings, all this is true; but in relation to the wisdom of the noble ones, all this is not true, because they do not see it that way. For some who have long been accustomed to the view of Suchness, but whose obscurations have not been completely removed, it is taught: Not true, not true, is not true. This is in order to abandon even the remaining slight obscurations. Therefore, this explanation is the order of teachings by which the Buddha, the Blessed One, leads beings to be tamed away from the wrong path and establishes them on the good path.

Everything exists as a means of entering into the nectar of suchness. The Tathagatas do not speak of what has not become a means of entering into the nectar of suchness, because they teach the Dharma in accordance with those to be tamed, like medicine that is compatible with illness. As it is said: Existence and non-existence, existence and non-existence, and neither of the two have also been shown. Because of illness, does everything not become medicine? As it is said. Fourth, regarding the nature of suchness, the first of the two, the suchness of the noble ones and the suchness of children, is: What is the nature of suchness that teaches these instructions for the sake of entering into what? Because what is to be said is reversed, because the object of the mind is reversed. Has it not been said before? What is there to ask about that? Although it is so, however, in the realm of conventional truth, it is necessary to fabricate and then declare its nature. If it is said: Not known from others, peaceful, and not elaborated by all elaborations, without conceptualization, meanings not different, that is the nature of suchness. It is not to be realized by the instruction of others, but it must be realized by the wisdom arising from one's own meditation, in a way that cannot be realized. Therefore, it is not known from others, and because it is without self-nature, it is peaceful, and because it transcends the realm of speech, all elaborations of speech are not elaborated, and because it is separated from the movement of the mind, it is without conceptualization, and because all defiled and purified dharmas are of one taste in emptiness here, therefore the meanings are not different. Thus, these four aspects are the nature of suchness. The second is: What arises depending on what, that is temporarily not that nature, because it is also not different from that, therefore it is neither discontinuous nor permanent. Just as a sprout arises from a seed, the cause on which something depends, the effect that arises, that is temporarily not that nature, because it would be a fault to become one with what is produced and what produces it. The effect is also not different from the cause, because it would be a fault for a sprout to arise even without a seed. What arises depending on what, that is neither that nature, nor is it different from that nature, therefore that cause is neither discontinuous nor permanent. As it is said: Seed
