Because of non-dependence. This is also dependent arising, because depending on these aggregates at the time of death, those aggregates belonging to birth arise. Therefore, suffering is not made by me. Second, refuting what is made by others, there are two parts. First, the main point is: If this is different from that, if that is different from this, suffering would be made by others, and those others would make this. If the aggregates at the time of death are different from the aggregates belonging to birth, and if the aggregates belonging to birth are different from the aggregates at the time of death, then the suffering belonging to birth would be made by the suffering at the time of death, and those sufferings at the time of death would make the suffering of birth. For those, the otherness is not seen, because like light and darkness, the relationship between cause and effect cannot exist. Therefore, it is not made by others. Second, the subsidiary has two parts: First, refuting the self made by a person: If suffering makes suffering, therefore it cannot be said that it is made by me. However, the person himself makes his own suffering, not made by others, therefore it is said that it is made by me. If a person makes suffering, then who is that person who made suffering by me? What is it other than suffering? If a person thinks that he has made the suffering clinging aggregates of his own continuum, then who is that person who made suffering by me depends on such discrimination, suffering is this, and the maker of this is this, it is necessary to distinguish and explain. But it is also not possible to explain, because there is no person other than the suffering clinging aggregates. If it cannot be said that a person makes his own suffering. Then what is it? A person can also make the suffering of the gods, and give it to the gods, and the suffering of the gods is also established on the gods, so that suffering is which

If it arises from another person, if suffering arises from another person, then another person did that suffering and gave it, how could that (giver) be anything other than suffering? If the suffering of a deva arises from another human being, and he also gives it to the deva, then after the other human being has done the suffering of the deva, what else could that deva, to whom the suffering is given, be other than the suffering of the deva? In this way, firstly, there is no receiver for the suffering that arises from another person. Now, the giver also does not exist, if suffering arises from another person, then who did that suffering, and what else is that other person who gives it to another person other than the accumulation of human suffering? Therefore, suffering arising from another person does not exist. Therefore, since it is not established as being done by me, how could suffering be done by another? Whatever suffering is done by another, that would become done by his self. If the suffering that another person does for the sake of giving to a deva, that suffering would become done by that person's self, that also does not exist, if suffering is done by me, then who is that person who did the suffering? What else is it other than suffering? Because it has already been said before that there is no person who is the author of suffering, either self or other, other than suffering. Therefore, when it is not established that the suffering of the deva is done by the self of the human being, how could that suffering of the deva be done by another person? Therefore, suffering is also not done by another person. Secondly, showing another reason for refuting both sides, firstly, suffering is not done by me, because he himself did not do himself. If it is not done by me, how could suffering be done by another? Firstly, suffering is not done by me, because he himself did not do himself, because it is contradictory for oneself to do to oneself.
