There will be no distinction. It is also unreasonable to become other. If walking and the walker are considered different, there will be walking without a walker and a walker without walking. If walking and the walker are other, like a pot and a cloth, there will be arbitrary activity of walking without a walker, or an arbitrary walker without the activity of walking, which can be grasped. That is also unreasonable, because there is no action that does not depend on the agent, or an agent that does not depend on the action. Therefore, if anything is neither one nor different, how can those two be established? If walking and the walker are neither one nor different, how can those two be established by their own nature? Therefore, walking and the walker also do not exist. Fifth, revealing another way of refutation: Here, because the saying "Devadatta the walker walks" is well known, the walker himself is the walking. Even so, it will not fall into the fault of two walkings, because the Devadatta walker who is manifested by the activity of walking is also considered Devadatta walking. If someone thinks like this, it is also unreasonable. By what walking does the walker appear? That walking is not that walking. The walking that manifests and establishes Devadatta as the walker is not the walking that establishes Devadatta as walking, because there is no (walker) before the walking. Who will go where? If Devadatta is seen going to a different village or city, because there is no walker before the activity of walking that establishes Devadatta as the walker. If the walker is established before Devadatta's walking, then the activity of walking, which is the sign of the walker, will also indicate Devadatta as walking, because there is no walking before walking, so the walker is not established. If it is thought that the walking that manifests the walker does not walk, but another walking, that is also unreasonable. By what walking does the walker appear? That walking different from this is not walking. Because for the unique walker, it is impossible to have

It is unreasonable. Any act of walking that clearly indicates and represents that Devadatta is the walker, then other acts of walking besides that one do not represent that Devadatta is walking. If it were so, there would be two acts, one representing the walker and one representing the walking. Because for the sole walker, Devadatta, it is unreasonable to have two acts of walking, as that would imply there are two walkers. Secondly, the reasoning is shown in brief: The walker, if he is a walker, does not walk in three ways. If he is not a walker, he also does not walk in three ways. If he is both and not a walker, he also does not walk in three ways. The walker, if he is a walker, that is, possessing the act of walking, does not walk in three ways: possessing the act of walking, not possessing it, and being both. The non-walker, that is, not possessing the act of walking, also does not walk in three ways: being, not being, and being both. The walker, if he is both and not a walker, also does not walk in three ways: being, not being, and being both. The proof of these is: "If it is, there is no action; without a doer, there would also be action," and so on, will be explained. Because when analyzed in that way, the walker, the walking, and the gone are not existent. Therefore, the going, the walker, and the object to be gone to are also not existent. This is the conclusion. Even though dependent origination is free from coming and going, as it is said in the "Teaching of the Holy Inexhaustible Intellect": "Venerable Sharadvatiputra, the word 'coming' is a word of gathering. Venerable Sharadvatiputra, the word 'going' is a word of clarifying. For that which has no word of gathering and no word of clarifying, there is no coming and no going. The absence of coming and going is the going of the noble ones." The commentary on the chapter on examining coming and going from the Root Wisdom of the Middle Way is completed. Explanation of the Third Chapter. The third chapter is the chapter on examining the senses, which has two parts: stating the prior position and refuting it. The first part is: If the going, the goer, and the object to be gone to are...

Even if there is no function, it must be admitted that the views arising from the scriptures, such as the eye and the object of sight (form), and the seer (consciousness), etc., are inherently existent. As it is said in the Abhidharma: "Seeing, hearing, and smelling, tasting, touching, and mind, are the six senses; their objects are seeing, etc." Seeing is the eye, hearing is the ear, smelling is the nose, tasting is the tongue, touching is the body and mind. The so-called six senses are called senses because they exercise power by distinguishing their own objects. The objects of these six are seeing is form, and so on, hearing is sound, smelling is smell, tasting is taste, touching is touch, and knowing is phenomena. Therefore, their own school believes that seeing, etc., are inherently existent. Second, refute it. Refute seeing, and extend this reasoning to other senses as well. The first part includes refuting the seer, refuting the seer, and refuting the result of the seen and the seer. The first part includes four parts, the first of which is direct refutation: If seeing is its own nature, then it does not see itself; that which does not see itself, how does it see others? If it is thought that the eye is the nature of seeing, then it should also see itself, because it is the same for self and others. The eye that is thought to be the nature of seeing does not see itself, because acting on oneself is contradictory and not admitted. If it does not see itself, then how does it see other things such as blue? Just like a pot, etc. Furthermore, if the eye has the power of seeing, then in states such as sleep, drunkenness, death, etc., and in darkness and at all times, it should see everything. If it cannot see, then it does not have the power of seeing, which has been proven by valid cognition. Second, refuting the defense against faults: For example, fire only burns other things, and does not burn itself; similarly, seeing only sees other things, and not itself. In order to strongly prove seeing, the example of fire is not valid. The example of fire that you used to strongly prove that seeing only sees other things actually
