The Specific Division proponents say this. The root of that division, the uninterrupted karma, is considered to be false speech. Because this hinders the turning of the wheel of Dharma of the Buddha's words and realization. It is called the division of the wheel. Its maturation spreads to the uninterrupted kalpa, therefore it is heavier than the other four uninterrupted karmas. The others are: although the maturation is certain to be in hell, it is not certain to be uninterrupted. The division of karma is: it occurs at all times and places where the teachings exist. Therefore, it happens a lot even now. Its essence is: eight or more monks disagree on which of the one hundred and one karmas explained in the Vinaya to perform, and split into two factions. This hinders the accomplishment of the Sangha's karma, such as the basis for requests, therefore it is called the division of karma. What is the difference between intentional and hidden meaning? In general, the Mind-Only school believes that all scriptures have the nature of both intentional and hidden meaning. Therefore, on one entity, the basis of intention and the intention are distinguished separately. Among them, for any sutra, from the expressed content other than the literal meaning, in the aspect that does not contradict the harming factors, it is intentional; from the aspect that the expressed words do not conform to the literal meaning, it is considered hidden meaning. For example: "Father and mother should be killed, the king and the two pure ones, and the country including the entourage should be destroyed, then this will become pure." Regarding this, the basis of intention is that father is karma, mother is craving, the king is the afflicted mind, the two pure ones are the superiority of clinging to morality and asceticism, and the superiority of clinging to views, the country including the entourage is the six sense sources. By destroying them with antidotes, one will attain purity and become an Arhat. Considering this, if it is directly said that killing parents, etc., and pure practitioners and Brahmins, etc., will lead to purity, then, since the expressed content of the basis of intention has no harm, it is intentional. Since the directly expressed content is harmed by प्रमाण (pramāṇa, valid cognition), it is hidden meaning from the aspect that the words do not conform to the literal meaning. Regarding the citation of scriptures, if there is a contradiction between the Buddha's words and the treatises, which is more authoritative? The Buddha's words have intentional meaning, and non-intentional meaning, provisional and definitive meaning, literal and non-literal meaning, these six boundaries. The treatises are also composed by noble ones.
