This is the measure of perfection. Its essence is: the samadhi of single-pointed mind on the deity's object. Its definition is: because of remembering the deity's form in one way, it is the samadhi of single-pointed mindfulness. There are two knowable things: the knowable of the unskillful and the knowable of the skillful. When the unskillful learn this, they understand all phenomena of appearance and sound as the very essence of their own deity's body. The skillful, having understood all phenomena as the essence of the deity, then understand it as becoming a part of their own aggregates, etc., and also in a way that does not fixate on inherent existence. The opposing factor of single-pointed mindfulness is: strong attachment to ordinary body, place, and enjoyment. The method of learning is: to learn by dividing the aspects into sections as according to the instructions. That is, first to meditate by dividing the stages of mind training into sections, and finally to meditate completely on the wheel of contemplation. The benefits and necessities of meditating on single-pointed mindfulness are five: in order to eliminate strong attachment to ordinary body, etc.; in order to accumulate a special collection of merit in saṃṭi; in order to bless oneself to be in accordance with the state of liberation, the state of Buddhahood; mainly in order to purify the impurities of the body; and in order to manifestly turn towards the yoga of contemplation, therefore one meditates on the samadhi of single-pointed mindfulness. There are two divisions of single-pointed mindfulness samadhi: one hero and meditating on the wheel of the mandala. The one hero is meditated by people of lesser intelligence who seek common accomplishments, and there are three types: the superior faculties meditate with four yogas, the intermediate meditate with five abisambodhis, and the inferior meditate with four vajras. There are two types of meditating on the wheel of the mandala: the initial application and the supreme mandala. There are five initial applications: the samadhi of accomplishing the base, the samadhi of the dependent deity, the samadhi of manifestly accumulating mudras, the action of the generation stage that follows after the vajra and lotus are blessed as a preliminary, and the offering ritual of abiding in the activity. The base

There are two types of Samadhi for establishing the basis: generating the earth element and generating the celestial palace. There are two ways to generate the deity as the object of reliance: generating through additional offerings and generating the main deity through the four yogas. There are four ways to generate the main deity: Yoga, Anu-yoga, Ati-yoga, and Maha-yoga. Of the two types of Yoga: attaining enlightenment in suchness and attaining enlightenment from the moon. There are three types of Anu-yoga: attaining enlightenment through letters, through hand gestures, and through the complete body. There are two types of Ati-yoga: transforming into a Nirmāṇakāya and placing the seed syllables. There are two types of Maha-yoga: blessing the body, speech, and mind, and meditating on the triple Bodhisattva. There are two types of blessing the body, speech, and mind: individual blessing and general blessing. There are two types of practicing Mudras: enjoying the path of messengers and practicing Karma Mudra, and enjoying the path of Yoga and practicing Samadhi Mudra. There are five aspects to generating the supreme Mandala: the ritual of generating the five Tathagatas, the four class consorts, the five offering goddesses, the eight Bodhisattvas, and the ten wrathful deities. Each of these also has four aspects: generation, expansion, gathering, and distribution. The measure of perfection for Samadhi of single-pointedness is when the form of the deity meditated upon in the wheel of the Mandala, the single hero, is extremely clear, unshakable by circumstances, and arises spontaneously, then it is perfected. Secondly, the Yoga of Discrimination will be explained below. For both yogis who train in single-pointedness and the Yoga of Discrimination, there are seven activities during the session break: the main deity enters into the ultimate truth of oneself, being urged by the melodious voice of the goddess, standing before it, praising it through the five families, then offering outer, inner, and secret offerings, then gathering the Mandala, and abiding as it is with divine pride and improper conduct. Thus, after perfecting single-pointedness and the Yoga of Discrimination, if one wishes to accomplish common Siddhi, then for six months, one should practice the conduct of Vidyāvrata.
