Great bliss will arise, clairvoyance knowing the minds of others will arise, one will turn towards the gate of self-blessing, one will become like the master of the ten bhumis, and one will be liberated from all the bonds of karma and afflictions. The definition of mind-seclusion is: the nature of knowable things, the mind, appears everywhere, and the nature appears: because of the external grasping and apprehending thoughts, it is naturally secluded, hence it is called mind-seclusion. The characteristic of the wisdom of the path is: because it is also secluded from grasping and apprehending thoughts and from mind-consciousness, it is called mind-seclusion. The second part is the meaning of the limbs: to show the definition of mind-seclusion, which was previously explained in detail, in a condensed way: Focusing on just the mind is called the second stage. That is, meditating on the experience of the mind, which is devoid of adventitious stains such as afflictions and conceptual thoughts, and focusing on it in a way that the knowable and the knowing are inseparable through the power of the mudra, is called the second stage, focusing on the mind, the samadhi of the vajra heart. The term "second stage" means that it occurs after the first stage, the generation stage, and is therefore called that, like the second rung of a ladder. Thus, after the great bliss of mind is perfected, one must meditate on the self-blessing that is like an illusion from the combination of mind, bliss, clarity, and wind, so the conventional illusion-like is to be taught. There are also ten points to it: the person who is the basis, the order of being a vessel, the object to be fully known, the opposing side to be abandoned, the cause of the accomplishment of the illusory body, the metaphor of representation, the way of learning, the measure of perfection, the benefit, and the definition. The person who is the basis is: after the mind-seclusion is perfected, one who has the desire for the illusion-like samadhi. The order of being a vessel is: the teacher, in the center of the mandala of the assembly, with the nine common empowerments preceding, should receive the secret empowerment, and by its power, give permission for the instructions, and become a vessel for meditation. The field of activity to be known is: all three realms should be known to be the nature of the great Vajradhara, like an illusion.

Furthermore, it is said: 'With the nature of illusion, one is completely liberated from all real entities.' Thus, it is said that all beings are taught to be like illusions. The opposing factor to be abandoned here is the view that the ultimate is the non-dual wisdom where all appearances, such as the body, dissolve into mere bliss and clarity. This is what needs to be abandoned here. Without meditating on the deity's form as an illusion, merely meditating on the absence of appearances in bliss and clarity will not result in the arising of the pure illusory body of union after entering the clear light. This is because the proximate cause of the pure illusory body has not been cultivated. Therefore, the view that merely meditating on objectless non-conceptualization is meditative illusion is contrary to the teachings of the noble father and sons. The noble father and sons taught that the deity's form, symbolized by the twelve examples of illusion, the form of the Great Seal Vajradhara, is the very meditation that results in the illusory body. As it is said in the 'Stages of Illusion': 'Liberated from existence and non-existence, the well-painted Vajrasattva, like the appearance of reflections in a perfectly clear mirror, the body possessing all excellent qualities, the form that is never satiated by seeing, should be shown to the good disciple, this is said to be self-blessing.' And in the 'Compendium of Practices': 'Therefore, one should realize the arising of the deity solely through wisdom from the guru's presence.' It is also said that holding the deity's form, which is fully manifest as mere wisdom and possesses all characteristics, symbolized by the twelve examples of illusion and dreams, is the body of the mind's nature of the Buddhas. Furthermore, it is said that the appearances of wisdom and method, together with the five lights and all kinds of qualities, will give rise to the deity's form, which is like an illusion. Therefore, meditating on the form of the deity, the Great Seal Vajradhara, symbolized by the twelve examples of illusion, is the uncommon proximate cause for yogis to abandon the impure body in this life and attain the pure illusory body, the body of the Great Union Vajradhara.
