You are a great being, because you have entered the Mahayana, tomorrow you will be born excellently, the Mahayana will appear greatly, this supreme path is auspicious. Because you dwell here, you are a self-born great fortunate one, you will become a Tathagata who knows all the worlds. Having said this, what is rare in the world? A Buddha is rare, like the Udumbara flower. Even rarer than that is the secret mantra. In the seventeenth chapter of the Root Tantra, it is said that even the Buddhas of the past, from the great hero Dipamkara to the Buddhas of the Bhadrakalpa, did not speak of it, nor will the future Buddhas, from Maitreya to Rucira, speak of it. Only Shakyamuni Buddha spoke of it through the power of his aspiration, therefore it is extremely rare. Someone might think, even if it is rare, what is the use if it has no benefit? The benefit is very great, just as a lamp destroys the darkness accumulated for a thousand kalpas in an instant. Similarly, the sins accumulated from countless lifetimes can be destroyed merely by seeing the great mandala tomorrow night, let alone entering the path of secret mantra and practicing it properly. Therefore, having obtained such a rare and greatly beneficial secret mantra, you should cultivate joy, that is what is meant. Then he said: Child, tomorrow you will see the mandala, go to sleep. Whatever dream you see, tell me first. Having said this, he placed the large kusha grass as a mat and the small one as a pillow, and without being distracted by other thoughts, with the mind thinking about what kind of mandala I will see tomorrow, filled with anticipation. Lie down with your right side on the ground, in the sleeping posture of a lion. Having instructed him in this way, he left. Then, he offered and praised that heap mandala, asked for forgiveness, and then recited the mantra "Om Vajrottistha" (藏文:ༀ་བཛྲོད་ཏིཥྠ་,梵文天城体:ॐ वज्रोत्तिष्ठ,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ vajrottiṣṭha,汉语字面意思:嗡,金刚,起立), and with a mudra, he lifted it into the sky, and again offered and praised it, and prayed that it would remain there. Then, he collected those heaps, smeared them with cow dung mixed with good fragrance, invited the guests of the torma to depart, and discarded the torma itself with the sound of music. He wrote three syllables on the three places of his body, speech, and mind, and protected himself with the Sumba mantra.

I should lie down in the state of clear light. In the morning, when the student recounts their dreams, if auspicious signs are seen, rejoice. If inauspicious signs are seen, if accompanied by obstacles, offer obstacle-repelling and protect with a harmful-beautifying mantra. If not accompanied by obstacles, pacify with a peaceful fire offering, the mantra of the Buddha's Eye, and yoga, etc. This is the preparatory ritual. Secondly, the actual ritual is: Secondly, the actual ritual is: the activities of the mandala, oneself entering and receiving empowerment, the student entering and bestowing empowerment, there are these three activities. Among these, the method of drawing a mandala with colored powders should be understood according to the mandala ritual composed by the Dharma King, the Noble One. Here, the method of relying on a painted cloth is: at the time of painting, on the base of the mandala, after thoroughly applying bezoar, fragrant scents, and nectar, lay down a good base. Unfold the mandala facing the transcendent east, and arrange offerings, no fewer than the number of deities, with water and two rows in front, and also arrange the tormas for the deities and spirits. Also prepare the necessary implements. Then, in order to accomplish the mandala, at the time of painting, together with the Dharma friends, each seated on their own seat, first offer the preliminary torma, bless the offerings, and until fully cultivating the self-generation deity, proceed as in the preparatory stage. From one's own heart, radiate light, touching all the mandala deities, dissolving into light, draw them in through the vajra path, dissolving into the samadhi-being, and contemplate the mandala being withdrawn. The main deity, with the pride of the father and mother, performs bathing, adorned with the attire of Heruka, precious ornaments, and blue garments, etc., seated on a cushion with inner padding in the east of the mandala, sprinkling water from the activity vase, and purifying the obstacles of the painted cloth with the mantra of Sumba (སུཾ་བྷ,सुम्भ,sumbha,Destroyer). Then, purify the painted cloth with स्वाभाव (藏文:སྭཱ་བྷཱ་ཝ,梵文天城体:स्वभाव,梵文罗马拟音:svabhāva,Nature), from emptiness, completely generate the palace and cushions, etc., as in the sadhana. The deities are also generated only in a slight manner, and oneself is visualized as the empty secret place of the father and mother main deity.
