Understanding the examined things as baseless. The first of these is like a vase being shattered by a hammer, the emptiness of conventionally existent substances being destroyed by reason. This also prevents the clinging to truth through rational analysis, and merely serves as a cause for generating interest in emptiness. The second is realizing that phenomena are without inherent existence from the very moment they appear as illusory. Although this prevents all exaggerating thoughts about what is apprehended later, it does not abandon the attachment to the fascination with inner experiential awareness, and therefore does not transcend the view of mere appearance of the Mind-Only school. The third is realizing that both inner experiential awareness and external apprehended objects depend on causes and conditions, and like illusions, are merely appearances in conventionality, without any inherent existence whatsoever. Although there is no clinging to extremes in this, there is a clinging to things as mere illusions, without relying on the terms and concepts of dependent origination, and therefore it does not transcend the Yogachara-Madhyamaka school. The fourth is that when the phenomena of dependent origination are properly dissected by reason, not even a little of their own essence is found, and when not examined, they become objects of designation, examined by conceptual thought, and understood to exist merely through the imputation of names. It is said that by realizing such dependent origination of inherent nature, without relying on other minds, cause and effect do not become confused with each other, and one naturally comes to be free from all extremes of permanence, annihilation, and elaboration of dependent origination. Although many say that this view is nihilistic because they do not understand it, this view that is free from all commitments is the correct view of Nagarjuna and his spiritual sons. The noble Nagarjuna said, "If I had any commitments, then I would have this fault. Because I have no commitments, I am without fault." Although some say that there is no self-sufficient commitment, but there is a commitment to one's own system, it is said that there is no difference in meaning except for changing the name. The views that other scholars consider to be good are merely established after consulting with self-grasping. This view of mine seems to go along with myself. It is very simple. When Dharma Lord Tsongkhapa saw Manjushri and asked about the view of Madhyamaka, Manjushri said that he still did not understand. Then you

When you asked the teacher, the teacher didn't apologize either, but he understood. He said he didn't understand some of the details. Although it is said that way, some of Tsongkhapa's disciples are arrogant and have little wisdom. Both father and son think that Tsongkhapa's view is the best, because they have seen Manjushri in person. This is simply nonsense, they associate with Manjushri like people. Panchen Shiwatso's contribution to Buddhism even surpassed Tsongkhapa's, but he did not understand the view of the Prasangika school, which is widely known in both Han and Tibetan regions, and it is indeed the case, because he is a great master of the Svatantrika school. Meeting the saints directly means the view is good, not meeting them means the view is bad, this is not necessarily the case, just like the great scholars Lekdenjey and Palden Chandrakirti. Someone asked Drungpa if he was a nihilist, and Drungpa replied: It is possible. In the past, when the teacher Shakyamuni Buddha lived in the world, some people said that the Shramana Gautama was a nihilist. Later, some people said the same about Nagarjuna and his son and Palden Chandrakirti, as well as the greater and lesser cuckoos. In Tibet, some people also said that the great Madhyamika masters Gangpa Shiu, Khu Dodé, Bar Patsab Nyima Drakpa, and Lhegom Shigpo were nihilists. Ubu is also considered a nihilist, but he has good friends. Karmapa Konzhon also asked: Are you a nihilist? Ubu replied: Am I a nihilist? Look at my behavior! Karmapa replied: You are very humble, please forgive me. It is said that he requested this. All the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas residing in the ten directions, appearing in person, said in unison: Apart from this, there is no other path to liberation, my mind will not waver, friends! That's what he said. Therefore, he obtained irreversible and firm realization. Spiritual friend, tamed, peaceful, extremely peaceful, possessing the three vows, free from the stain of faults and transgressions, the three doors uncorrected, abiding in a natural state, conduct pure, I prostrate to you. This is to say that this virtuous spiritual friend of the Mahayana, possessing the training of higher morality, the mind stream is very tamed, possessing the training of higher wisdom, very peaceful, possessing the training of higher mind, extremely peaceful.
