The light dissolves into the palace. The light of the palace dissolves into the retinue deities. If there are no retinue deities and only the main deity, then the outer and inner world dissolve into light and dissolve into the palace, it is said. Think of the light dissolving into itself. Note: The retinue deities dissolve into light and dissolve into oneself. Oneself also dissolves into light and dissolves into the seed-syllable in the heart. The seed-syllable dissolves upwards into nada, like the tip of a hair split into a hundred parts. Holding the mind on that for a long time is the most profound way to meditate on shamatha. Then, that also dissolves into emptiness. Not being bound by the thought "it is emptiness," without making any alterations to the mind, relax and rest. That is the most profound way to meditate on vipashyana. For beginners, it is not possible to practice the generation stage and completion stage simultaneously. Therefore, for as long as one has practiced the generation stage, one must practice shamatha and vipashyana afterwards, this is the view of Naropa (1040-1124 AD) Pandita. Then, like a rainbow appearing in the sky, or a fish leaping in clear water, meditate on oneself as the main deity, without any adornments. Then, during the breaks between sessions, do whatever needs to be done. When starting to practice again, the method is the same as before. Because the generation stage is not clear for new practitioners, the generation stage is clarified by increasing the number of sessions. Morning, forenoon, noon, and afternoon are four sessions. Evening and dawn are six sessions. This is clearly explained in the great commentaries such as "De-gye." Having become familiar with that, practice five sessions, that is, four sessions during the day and one session at night. Having become familiar with that, three sessions during the day and four at night. Having become familiar with that, two sessions during the day and three at night. If one is very familiar, then one session during the day and two at night. There is no way to have fewer practice sessions than that. In general, for any yidam practice, the new tradition has four branches: recitation, near recitation, practice, and great practice. The old tradition has three: recitation, practice, and activity. The meaning is the same, all must be complete. In one's own heart, according to the difference between peaceful and wrathful, on the mandala of the sun or moon disc on top of a lotus. If practicing wrathful deities such as Hayagriva, Vajrakilaya, Vajravarahi, Simhamukha, etc., then in the heart, on top of a lotus, there is a sun disc, on top of that is one's own seed-syllable, unmoving, standing like a pillar, this is the oral instruction. This is also a note: Whatever seed-syllable it is, it remains standing upright. Or Amitayus, or ས

If it is a peaceful deity like Chenrezig Pema Jungne (Avalokiteshvara and Padmasambhava), then visualize their respective seed syllables on a lotus and moon in the heart. (Note:) The place where the head of the letter looks is the front, look forward. That is the rule of the Nyingma school, it cannot be changed. For the New schools, what the eyes see, saying it is the front of the letter, is not correct. The Geshes who speak of the philosophy of characteristics say that the shape of the letter is not the letter, the letter is sound, it is the object of the ear, it is impossible for the eye to see the letter. Such statements are not appropriate here. Secret mantra (383) is to use various images as the path, for example, the emptiness Dharmakaya Great Bliss Mother, appearing as the form of a pig. At the end of the seed syllable, for male deities, starting from the front, the face of the letter is shown outwards, arranged from the left, the front is blocked and the end is completed, like spinning thread. For female deities, rotate clockwise from the front, the meaning of the mantra is shown inside and then arranged, the arrangement and rotation, although there are important keys, but because of the writing, the letters will be wrong, leading to most sadhanas being wrong. Arrange the seed syllable mantra in your own heart, do not be distracted, focus your awareness on it. While the letters of the mantra are clearly visible in the mind, recite them slightly in the manner of recitation. Think that your own sound is emitted from the letters, this is called the visualization of approaching. After that, the mantra does not rotate, five colors of light are emitted from the mantra, just as the rosary does not rotate, the thread of the rosary rotates, visualize the male rotating clockwise, the female rotating counterclockwise (384) intensely. If it is a union deity, also visualize the mantra rotating clockwise in the father's heart, and the mother's mantra rotating counterclockwise in the mother's heart. (Note:) After that, the mantra initially rotates slowly, then faster and faster, rotating very intensely, from which various lights radiate in ten directions, offering to all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of the ten directions, purifying the two obscurations and habitual tendencies of all sentient beings, the blessings of the Buddhas and the life and merit of sentient beings are all gathered by the light and absorbed into oneself. This is called the visualization of near attainment. For the secret mantra of the Nyingma school, it is called Jepkong like a rosary of moon and stars. That is the common rule, especially, the special secret of the great accomplished Pakshi is,
