Therefore, the Kriya Tantra is taught. Like all the tantras, its root is the Kriya Tantra. Therefore, there are both the practice of the Kriya Tantra itself, and the practice like the Kriya Tantra and the Charya Tantra. The Indian scholar Taranatha said that the practice of the Kriya Tantra is like the Yoga Tantra. For example, the Nine Deities of Amitayus. Similarly, Lord Atisha also practiced in this way. Like the Green Tara and the Akshobhya ritual. Similarly, Panchen Dorje Drakpa also practiced the Kriya Tantra like the Anuttarayoga Tantra. For example, the White Vajravidāraṇā of Vimalamitra. Similarly, the great and small Vajrasana masters, the 'Ocean of One Hundred and Two Sadhanas' and the sadhana method of the self-generation, front-generation, and vase empowerment of 'Knowing One, Liberating All' by Wangchuk Dorje, are in accordance with the view (311) of the Yoga Tantra. The method of bestowing permission of body, speech, and mind is completely consistent with the above-mentioned Indian texts. In detail, the empowerment of qualities and activities, including the activities of pacifying, increasing, magnetizing, and wrathful, the implements, and so on, as well as the Torma empowerment, etc., all gather the essence of the Nyingma school. The empowerment of the King of Tantras is very extensive, and is in accordance with the Torma Tantra of the Dharma Protector Gonpo, etc. In reality, the new and old schools all unify their views. Although it unifies all and surpasses all, some people with malicious intentions will ask: On what does this tantra rely? I have heard such questions. The Vajra Garland and the 'Ocean of One Hundred and Eight Sadhanas', etc., are not taught in this way in one tantra. However, the wise Panchen gathered them together. Similarly, it also gathers the essence of countless new and old tantras, as well as instructions and oral teachings. Therefore, it is a great gathering, profound and vast. Other schools have never had this before, so please abandon doubts and (312) remember it in your heart! This small tune that pleases the Yoga Tantra was composed by the old beggar Raga Asya on the twelfth day of the auspicious month of the Horse year, at dusk, after recalling the taste of food, as a praise to the tantra. Birya Sagara also wrote it down with a smile. ༈ །། Namo Guru Sarva Vidyaye. (Tibetan: ན་མོ་གུ་རུ་སརྦ་བི་ད་ཡེ།, Devanagari: नमः गुरु सर्व विदे, Romanized Sanskrit: namaḥ guru sarva vide, Literal Chinese meaning: Homage to Guru Sarva Vidyaye) A person who lives in the mountains and practices should establish a connection with the Yoga Tantra, because the root tantra is its collection. In it, the Mandala of Vajradhatu is taught. The described

The Tantra is the Vajra Peak. In it, the mandala of the three realms' sovereign is taught. Although these two originate from the Vajramala, etc., the structure of the ritual is similar to that of the Sarvatathagatatattva, etc. However, because its propagation is limited, elaborations are omitted. Other tantras include the Tantra for Purifying the Lower Realms and the Nine-Deity Crown Tantra. Although both are such, some have doubts about the Nine-Deity Crown Tantra. The Purifying Tantra is unparalleled, like the sun and moon. It has four great commentaries from India, which are the essential compilation, the great gate of liberation. (313) Disagreeing with those great commentaries are the Limitless Benefit for Others and the Rays of Benefit for Others. It is said that they are followers of the notes made by Goma the Meditator, a disciple of Jowo. Those notes are also the oral transmission of Jowo. When Jowo met the two great translators, the translator Rinchen Zangpo was slightly dissatisfied and said, "I am skilled in Yoga Tantra." Therefore, the Great Gate of Liberation is reliable. We monks who frequent the mountains, although we generate the mind to attain perfect enlightenment, the subtle faults of the three vows fall like rain. Because we have not extensively studied the Sutras and Tantras, we do not even know how to protect against most faults. Seven faults compounded become one transgression. If even one transgression is not purified by confession, one must be born in the lower realms again and again. Therefore, for one's own benefit, the method of purifying the lower realms is very important. Returning ransom notes, requesting dedication, etc., offering food, wealth, and other objects, also with the hope of saving from the suffering of the lower realms. (314) From all the teachings of the new and old Sutras and Tantras, there is no method of purifying the lower realms more excellent than the Purifying Tantra. For the benefit of others, this Purifying Tantra is also important. The order of the ritual is as explained in the text. Today, it is sufficient to perform some preliminaries. Then, in four or three sessions, recite only the self-generation of the deity. Visualize yourself as the main deity, on the moon in your heart, there is a five-pronged vajra marked with the Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: 吽) syllable, or visualize a white Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: 吽) syllable. Finally, apply the method of erecting the root mantra syllables. Visualize the retinue on the moon in your heart, with the seed syllable at the end, and just have faith in their respective mantras. From the main deity to the eight wrathful deities, visualize all the deities as yourself.
