Learn poetry! Plant the aspiration to be born in the realm of the Form Realm Pure Abode. Similar to that, in this land of Tibet as well, Instead of taking refuge in the Three Jewels, They take refuge in the local deity of Tsang, Lha Go Tokpa, And the local deity of Ngari, Namo Takri Rong. The five demons of the gods, Shenlha Okar, etc., Take refuge in powerful worldly gods and demons. Abandoning the ten non-virtues (51) and practicing the ten virtues, The golden sun and the white moon rise. The Dharma declines, the center declines, Bon flourishes, and the borderlands flourish. Plant the aspiration to be born in Olmo Lungring. It is similar to the lineage of non-Buddhist Brahmins. Not like that, but Vairotsana, in order to Pleasure the king, translated the sacred Dharma, And in order to protect the face of the ministers, he also had to translate Bon. At that time, those that had the name of Bon attached to the Dharma, Many that were buried as treasures and then emerged, Are no different from the Nyingma Dharma, and some are good. That is called the Bonpo Vidyadhara practice. Those and others, many things are said about Banma Bon as well. The Dharma root of the Chinese Heshang is not bad either, It is the Dharma lineage of the great Shravaka Kashyapa. However, it only emphasizes quiescence and lacks insight. Virtue leads to heaven, and evil leads to falling into the lower realms. Both heaven and the lower realms are samsara. Therefore, both virtue and evil should be abandoned. The arising of conceptual thoughts in the mind is delusion. If there is no thought in the mind (52), one wants to meditate. Similar to that, nowadays in the guiding instructions as well, The quiescence in which the eight consciousnesses have ceased has become confused. One cannot stand up, and one does not understand even when called. Meditation is indeed a precursor to rebirth, But if one clings to that kind of meditation, it is the Heshang style. Likewise, nowadays some great meditators, Are unhappy with the arising of many thoughts, And they greatly desire to abide in a mindless, dull state. That is also close to the Heshang style. Ordinary people, Bonpos, and non-Buddhists, etc., Abandoning killing, abandoning taking what is not given, Abandoning impure conduct, abandoning lying, And likewise, giving vast amounts of charity, etc., No matter how much vast merit is done, Needless to say, it will not become a cause for attaining enlightenment, Nor will it become a cause for attaining liberation, But only for the happiness of worldly gods and humans, One will enjoy hundreds and thousands of rebirths, And after the merit is exhausted, one will fall into the lower realms again. Therefore, if one does not take refuge in the Three Jewels, One will certainly (53)

Not being seized by the steadfast thought of Bodhicitta, no matter how vast the roots of virtue one practices, they can only be called virtues that are in accordance with liberation, or they can be called intermediate virtues. Because this will not lead to liberation from samsara, refuge and generating Bodhicitta are very important. O diligent one, trust the Three Jewels from the depths of your heart, and make your Bodhicitta steadfast! Thus, the monk Ra ga a sya spoke in the evening of the ninth day of the royal month of the Horse year, in the manner of an old man's fabricated words, in the form of a song. Abandon the path that has not been entered, the wrong path, and the inferior path, as well as all the paths of worldly samsara, and it is appropriate to go to the flawless path of Bodhi. The scribe is Birya Saga ra. Chapter Three, auspicious and complete! I! The first text of the oral instructions of the mountain dharma retreat, called 'The Bell of the Noble Ones,' concerning the practice of the Great and Small Vehicles. Homage to गुरु आर्य मैत्रेय (Tibetan, Devanagari: गुरु आर्य मैत्रेय, Romanized Sanskrit: guru ārya maitreya, Literal Chinese meaning: गुरु Noble Maitreya). Homage to the lama, the emanation of Maitreya, the Protector, homage to the feet of the kind Dharmaśvara. Karma Tsondru Gyamtso, please listen: If the eighty-four thousand collections of dharma are briefly summarized, they can be summarized into the Great and Small Vehicles. The Small Vehicle is divided into two: the Hearers and the Solitary Realizers. Among them, the practice of the Hearer Vehicle is: requesting to become a layperson, a novice monk, a fully ordained monk, etc., because this life does not have much time to spare, one should be content with little desire and whatever arises. Fearing the three lower realms and birth, old age, sickness, and death, one desires to be liberated from samsara in one's heart. Therefore, for the happiness and desirable qualities of gods and humans, like a butcher deceiving people with a head-severing execution feast, no matter how one views them, there is no attachment at all. Attaining the state of perfect Buddhahood is very far away, and how could one be able to practice austerities for three countless eons? For example, like the strict laws of a king, if one commits sins, one will fall into the lower realms and be punished. (55) Therefore, one does not dare to transgress even a little of all the precepts spoken by the Teacher. The root of the precepts is to abandon actions that are based on harming others, and the root of the vows is to protect them as one's life. One should strive to restore and purify even subtle faults. There are also many ways to purify, and when purifying during the half-month periods, although the rising of the moon is the preliminary, it is easy to understand. There are the months of Dvo, Saga, Chutö, Chumtö, and Mindruk, and the month of Gyal.
