Oh, fortunate and intelligent son! This meaning is also mentioned in the Kalachakra Tantra (p. 53): "The measure of Dharma is this: Accomplished by turning half the eye upwards." The meaning of this refers to that. This is the meaning spoken of in all the Dzogchen teachings, Unheard of in all the lower tantric divisions, Called "the root of wisdom, the supreme Bhabantu," Its shape is like an open barley grain. It is located in the center of the hearts of sentient beings. In animals, its mouth faces downward, so they are extremely ignorant. In humans, its mouth opens forward, so their wisdom is bright. The root of all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, Its mouth opens upward, so wisdom arises. The tip of this root is connected to the eye, So by straightening the body and turning the eyes upward, Pulling that root, it turns its mouth upward, At that time, wisdom will actually arise. Therefore, all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, The meaning of turning the pupils upward is this. Therefore, the master Padmasambhava, Also said when prophesying the self-arisen king: "The eyes see the meaning of the nature of reality." If a person (p. 54) who has not directly seen the essence, wishes to see the wisdom of Mahamudra, They should repeatedly look in this way in a secluded place. If you cannot distinguish between experience and conceptual thought, Look in this way and see if it is similar to that. If it is similar, then it is a sign of conceptual thought. If it is not similar, no matter how good it is, You have not attained realization, but are swayed by experience. After that, after the student has offered the mandala, Except when introducing a qualified vessel, If you explain it to others, you break your vows, You will incur the wrath of the Dakinis, equivalent to the five heinous crimes. If you do not have this profound instruction, Which is the means of directly showing the wisdom Mahamudra, That wisdom, which is inexpressible, unthinkable, and unspeakable, The Lama does not speak of it as it is, Even if the student hears it, they will not actually realize it. A profound seal of direct introduction to wisdom. Likewise, during the Dzogchen Tögal, Without creating attachment to rainbows and bindus, By looking at its essence, one can unite clarity and emptiness. Treckchö and union are the pinnacle of the nine vehicles, There is no practice instruction deeper than that, In either the new or old Kadam, Terma, or Bon. Therefore, keep it in your heart, son of lineage! (p. 55) Thus, the yogi Ra Ga A Si Ya, That advice given to the student Tsondu Gyatso, Was immediately written down.

The time recorded in Ger is: the first day of the month of Tha star in the Horse year. At the entrance of the retreat cave on the top of Mount Palri, the faithful Lama Virya Sagara wrote after offering a hundred prostrations and mandalas. Mangalam! I. (This is) from the "Single-Lineage Transmission of Mountain Dharma Retreat Instructions," the method of directly introducing the wisdom of the four joys, the actual practice of wisdom, called "The Secret Words of the Wisdom Dakini." Homage to Guru Jnana Dakini! Homage to the assembly of Dakinis of the three places! Please bless and liberate the mind! The four kinds of births in the realm of samsara, the root of birth is only desire. Without it, one will not be born in samsara and will attain Nirvana. Looking, smiling, holding hands, and embracing, in order to subdue these four desires, the Buddha taught the four tantras. The impure conduct of ordinary people is one of the ten non-virtues and is the cause of pretas. Among them, having intercourse with nuns or sisters, as well as with the mouth, anus, or animals, and having intercourse with another's wife, are said to be serious sins. A monastic having intercourse is a hundred thousand times heavier than that. These are the meanings of the Four Noble Truths and the Wheel of Dharma. A monastic having intercourse with another's wife, because of breaking the vows, cannot be included in the Sangha. This is the root of the Vinaya precepts. A novice monk having intercourse with the mouth or secret path, although the object is not another's wife, it is slightly better, but the faults are still equally serious. Therefore, the three places are no different. A celibate meditating on another's wife in his mind, generating attachment and losing semen, although he does not break the pure precepts, the sin is very serious, as explained extensively in the Sutra of the Seven Unions. Ejaculating oneself or causing another to ejaculate, although it does not break the precepts, it is a very heavy Sangha remnant offense, and even through confession it cannot be purified, it can only prevent the increase of sin. These are the views of the Sutras and Vinaya. If not grasped by skillful means, desire will run rampant. From the mouth of the Yoga Sky-Going Empowerment, it is also said that if grasped by skillful means, even poison becomes the supreme nectar. (57) In the glorious Hevajra Tantra, it is also said that desire itself subdues desire. Regarding this, there are differences in the high and low levels of individuals on the paths and grounds, and the operation of the channels and winds can be done.
