The empowerment like a mother is the meaning of the fourth empowerment. By recognizing with words and diligently meditating, one will realize the great seal of meaning. This is the common view of all the unsurpassed tantras. Even if one is a monk, when bestowing empowerment, in order to be in harmony with the wisdom of joy, it is said that even if a mudra is shown, the vows will not be lost. To say that is the heretical teaching of Acharya Red, because it is unreasonable, it is forbidden from the lineage of family and blood. (49) Jowo Je (Atisha, 982-1054) widely forbade it. If one realizes the wisdom of example, some wise and accomplished ones, in the extensive explanation of the six dharmas, say that there are metaphors such as "white mustard seed, golden needle", meaning that for a young and beautiful woman who can keep secrets, one can practice with either of the two roots and hold wisdom. Although there is such a saying, it is unreasonable, because it contradicts the discipline and the fault is very great. Yogis who cannot find a beautiful mudra consort say that it is permissible to show a beloved animal as a mudra. Although it is clearly recorded in "Rainbow Body Heart Essence Treasure" and "Biography of Kukuripa", those are the practices of yogis and householders. If one is a monk, one should abandon it because it will break the vows. If the disciple is wealthy, one can hold a feast, offer hundreds of mandalas, prostrations, circumambulations, etc. If one does not have wealth, prostrations and mandala offerings are sufficient. When the sky is clear, in a solitary place, the disciple, in front of the lama, with the seven qualities complete, invites the lineage with objects or imagination. The disciple holds the gentle air with vase breath, and the mind rests on the practice (50). With the right or left hand, whichever is convenient, first slowly, then vigorously presses the two arteries on the left and right sides of the neck. At that time, the experience is different from before, thoughts do not flow, and one feels still and unmoving. In that nature, one's own vision appears, without arising good or bad discriminations. That is the great seal of the wisdom of example. Son of lineage, your current experience, there is no discrimination, nor is it without thought, you know yourself, but there is no memory or thought. Practice a little, and it is very good to press the pulse for a short time. Note: This is called the wisdom of example, the non-discriminating great seal, oh! After saying this, ask if he has realized it. If he has not realized it, teach him a few practices, and a few relaxations. The upper end of the two "ro" syllables

The nostrils. Then, combined with the movement of the breath, Various thoughts flow outwards, The mind is like a wild horse with different thoughts. Like a herdsman catching a horse, (51) likewise, grasping the breath grasps the mind. This is the view of Naropa Pandita. When the breath enters the central channel, The non-conceptual wisdom Mahamudra, Manifesting is the consensus of all the unsurpassed tantras. The two small tips at the upper end of the two channels, right and left, Pressing them cuts off the path of the breath flowing outwards, When flowing inwards, it stays in the central channel for a moment, At that time, non-conceptual wisdom truly manifests. If you have not obtained this direct recognition, Even if you request the empowerment of wisdom, Because the wisdom of empowerment has not arisen in the continuum, So it is only a verbal transmission, and in reality, it is not obtained. Now is the time to recognize this, There is no harm in occasionally accepting a little bit. Too much will cause neck problems, so don't do too much. That should also be moderate, do it for a while, Pressing hard for a long time may cause fainting. Before revealing it to a worthy disciple, If you tell others, you will break the samaya. It is said that you will use karma to drink the heart blood of the dakinis. Therefore, this is an extremely secret instruction, it is a samaya. (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, Literal Chinese meaning) Then, recognizing wisdom through meaning, Even if you practice single-mindedly for a long time, Because the benefit is small, (52) you have not seen the nature, The experience of bliss, clarity, and non-conceptuality is good or bad, Do not add or subtract from it. If you have not truly seen the nature, And have not directly seen ordinary consciousness, The dullness of non-conceptuality, the experience of emptiness, being at a loss, etc., If you cannot distinguish what it is, cannot grasp the measure, And some people boast of being clever and wise, Saying much about the high and low differences of experience and realization, In order not to go astray, in order to be unerring and unadulterated, For the true wisdom of Mahamudra, If you want to know what it is like, Offer offerings and a mandala, in front of the lama, Sit properly in the seven-point posture of Vairochana, Slightly bend the neck, turn the eyeballs upwards, Focus awareness on the space above the brow, Rest in the nature. At that time, all coarse thoughts will cease, And there will be no clinging to bliss, clarity, and emptiness. Resting blankly in the state of recognizing one's own nature, This is like losing memory without thinking. This is the wisdom Mahamudra in terms of meaning.
