On the lotus, sun, and corpse cushion behind the bull, Ḍakkirāja, transformed from the syllable "ཊྃ", is dark blue-black in color, and merely by looking, he seizes the life of hostile demons. With one face and two arms, he shakes a skull drum in his right hand, (581) and his left hand is extended in a threatening gesture. To the left of the consort, Dudmgon Trakshad Nagpo, transformed from the syllable "ཏྲག་", has one face and two arms, holding a red skull club aloft in his right hand. With one face and two arms, he violently shakes a skull drum in his right hand, and his left hand is extended in a threatening gesture. To the left of the consort, the four forms of Dudmgon, transformed from the syllable "ཏྲག་", are all extremely wrathful and terrifying, residing in the midst of a blazing fire, surrounded by hundreds of thousands of fierce yakshas. Outside of these, in the ten directions, are the ten directional guardians, led by Indra, as well as the eight great gods, the eight great nagas, the eight great planets, (582) the four great kings, the twenty-eight constellations, and the nine great terrifiers, namely the seventy-five protectors of the pure lineage, together with the assembly of beings from the three realms of existence. Surrounding them is the ocean of oath-bound armies, who delight in flesh and blood, revel in blood, have no compassion, are wrathful and fierce, have ugly colors, contorted faces, bloodshot eyes, gaping mouths, gnashing teeth, holding various weapons, and in an instant, they can seize the life-breath of all beings, filling the entire space, sky, and earth. At the crown of the head of all the main deities and their retinues is a white "ཨོཾ་" (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: ओम्, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Om), (583) at the throat is a red "ཨཱཿ" (Tibetan: ཨཱཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: आः, Sanskrit Romanization: āḥ, Chinese literal meaning: Ah), and at the heart is a blue "ཧཱུྃ" (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हूँ, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum). From the rays of light emanating from the blue "ཧཱུྃ" (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हूँ, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum) at the heart, in an instant, the Great Black One, along with his retinue, is invited from the charnel ground in the southeast cool forest, under a single-trunk sandalwood tree. Hūṃ! By faith and commitment, come forth, great Mahakala! Please descend to this mandala place! And all the obedient yaksha hosts of Kshetrapala and others, the ocean of oath-bound ones who have vowed to protect the Dharma, please descend! Om Shri Mahakala Ye Sapariwara Ehya Ehi! Recite "ཁྲི༚" twenty-one times, and invite with the sound of drums and (584) damaru and bells, burn mixed incense.
