Do not take the offering substances out. The kapala and large torma of the inner offering should not be moved. Practitioners should not engage in quarrels (504) and disputes, etc. During this time, do not offer tormas to other Dharma protectors. No one other than the torma practitioner should sleep in another room during this time. Do not recite mantras elsewhere than in the presence of the torma. It is extremely important that those performing the torma practice do not eat food with shadows and do not meet any new faces. If these vows are violated, obstacles will arise and revert to the Dharma protector himself. Many harmful and inauspicious things will occur internally, so it is said not to be devoured by demons. The Dharma protector is very pleased and does not think about anything, like a child playing. Benefits and harms occur as one wishes (505), and the desire for loud laughter is very great. The large torma should only be taken as accomplishment by practitioners who have pure vows and the same Dharma protector, and should be enjoyed as their own food. It should not be given to any other human or non-human being, for if it is given, the accomplishment will decline and obstacles will occur. The detailed instructions for performing the torma practice have been spoken. Now I will speak about the instructions for the great torma. Among them, the torma practices for pacifying and increasing, etc., are established starting in the morning (506) when the good days of the waxing moon, the good and gentle stars, and the auspicious conjunction of times come together. If it is a torma practice for removing obstacles, etc., it is done as if the main practice comes on the twenty-ninth of the waning moon. The great torma, on the other hand, is started fiercely on the inauspicious days of the waning moon, with the stars and conjunctions, and the actions being very fierce, such as midnight or noon, and then the torma is struck on the twenty-ninth. For this, first, in the place where the mandala is to be made, the ground is painted black with corpse ashes or charcoal, and in the center is drawn a very large dark blue triangle with a mountain of fire. In the center of that, in the center of the sun, draw a curved knife, with a black Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽) marked at the center. On top of that, soak black barley (507), mix blood and alcohol to make juice, and defile it with a blood knife, etc., making a bali offering one cubit high and three fingers wide, with a large curved shape taken at the edge and circled around. The severed limbs, etc., that are shown outwards are with blood.

Arrangement: With a face like a ferocious beast devouring a fresh corpse, adorned with black silk mirrors and the like, place it on a large altar. Then, display the painted image and arrange offerings such as blood food, as described before. It is said that cleaning from the beginning is also a cause for reducing obstacles. The boundary (508) should be strictly defined, and it is important that other people's food, torma materials, and alcohol are not mixed in at all. If they are mixed, it is said to be a non-common factor that will rebound on oneself. Therefore, from the beginning of making torma powder and the like, one should be very meticulous. Then, perform the generation rite of the Protector and retinue, as described in the previous ritual for dispelling obstacles and performing torma. Mainly, think of everything as being very fierce and terrifying. After that, all the rituals up to the completion of confession are the same as described in the previous ritual for dispelling obstacles and performing torma. Recite the mantra of Nara Krita Krita twenty-one times in each session (509), and recite the heart mantra about one hundred and eight times. After that, the recitation of mantras and all recitations are mainly for the sake of the Dharma, and this is also done by adding phrases. The method of adding phrases is: If there is no specific designation for any enemy or obstacle, but it is only designated to generally dispel the harm of enemies and obstacles, then recite: idam duṣṭaṃ (Sanskrit: इदं दुष्टं, meaning "this is evil"), dgra bgegs kha kha khāhi khāhi māra māra gṛhṇa gṛhṇa bandha bandha hana hana daha daha paca paca dina me kena dgra bgegs māraya hūṃ hūṃ phaṭ phaṭ (Tibetan transliteration: Enemies and obstacles, eat! eat! destroy! destroy! kill! kill! burn! burn! cook! cook! give! my! enemies and obstacles! kill! hūṃ! hūṃ! phaṭ! phaṭ!). If there is a specific designation, then recite chê ge mo kha kha (510) and so on. The visualization during such recitation is: Generate the radiance of the body through the door of Yama, and recite it once at the beginning of each session. Then, abiding in the extremely firm pride of oneself as Yama and other deities, from the hūṃ in the heart radiate light, like a fierce flame, striking the heart of the Protector. Urge as if striking the vital point of the Protector, stamping the ground with anger, agitation, and ferocity, roaring like thunder with a fierce voice, shaking the hand drum fiercely, and gazing fiercely at the retinue with three eyes, causing all the retinue (511) to involuntarily feel fear due to anger, agitation, and ferocity.
