The ritual is like this. In general, this protector has three faces and six arms, and there are two or three different types, which is because of practicing the extremely fierce deity. The blessing protector with one face and six arms, the sadhana composed by Shawa (304) Ripa, this Indian treatise is very pure. This was translated from the Indian Sanskrit text by the translator Gelandarma Chuchen, and the two that Kyungpo heard from Maitripa and brought back are consistent without any difference in even one word. Therefore, the pure treatises of the accomplished ones are no different from the tantras and are worthy of trust. For example, in the instructions of Rahula, the Indian treatise on the combined practice of the four deities composed by Lama Atayavajra, etc., and the old texts transmitted from Lama Kyungpo of Rahula's oral instructions, and the sadhana of the protector wish-fulfilling jewel composed by Kyungpo himself (305), etc., except for a few, there is no doubt that the pure Indian treatises composed by Rahula himself are without doubt. The sadhana of the protector with one face and six arms, dark blue, embracing the consort blue mother, was composed by Rahula, and the sadhana of the protector green-black was composed by Rahula, and the sadhana of the protector power自在王 was composed by Rahula, and the protector secret sadhana of Shawaripa is called that. The sadhana of the mandala of the protector dark blue one face six arms embracing the consort red mother was composed by Shawaripa, etc. Although there are very many that are called Indian treatises, (306) most of them are based on the oral records of Kyungpo who heard from Lama Rahula and Maitripa. In the middle, some very unskilled people added an Indian word at the beginning and then added a very bad Tibetan sentence at the end, saying that it was composed by those accomplished ones. It seems that most of them are like saying that they offered five hundred taels of gold, etc. In some of the so-called Indian treatises, some of the components of the ritual of Gur Protector, composed by Drokon Pagpa, were copied verbatim, and some of the so-called empowerment ritual Indian treatises do not even fully know the Sanskrit for empowerment, and the Sanskrit for the ritual is said to be Kapala (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning: ཀ་པཱ་ལཱ།, कपाल, kapāla, skull), which in Indian language is Bajramahakalaye Abhiti

Nāma (ན་མ།) is written irrelevantly. Furthermore, may the basis of all things, such as the classifications of the four empowerments, become very vast. Regarding the term "Ornamented Protector," my venerable Namkha Yogi said that the black one-faced, six-armed Protector is called "Ornamented" when he has a consort, and "Unornamented" when he does not. Other than that, there is no other Ornamented Protector in the Shangpa Kagyu tradition. He said that my Rigongpa tradition later did not mix the upper practices of the Protector with others, and although I have fully obtained the lower practices and so on (page 308), it does not appear among them. Later, many who praise the tradition believe that the Ornamented Protector refers to the eleven-faced, thousand-armed, thousand-eyed Protector with a consort, and they believe that these two are the ultimate essence of this tradition. I have also obtained that tradition well. However, Lama Rahula said that some of the Chinese texts titled as translated by Kyungpo seem very false. Those texts are based on the Nyingma tradition's "Supreme Secret Tantra of the Cemetery," and they mix the upper and lower tantras of the new and old secret mantras, Mahamudra, Dzogchen, Ushnish Ralung (ཨུཥྞི་ཥ་ར་ལུང་, Sanskrit Devanagari: उष्णीष रलुंग, Sanskrit Romanization: uṣṇīṣa raluṃg, literal Chinese meaning: Ushnish Ralung) (page 309), the Nyal tradition, and the terma teachings of Orgyen Guru, and they insert many foolish self-creations into them. Because the Tibetan practitioners are very unskilled, the sentence structures are confused, not good, and have many errors, they are written like flesh and blood, and then they say that these are Chinese texts written by great accomplished ones, and they seem to say this out of inner desire. Moreover, among those so-called Chinese texts, first, one torma is arranged and blessed, and then it is offered to the Lama Triple Gem, Dakini Dharma Protectors, and those with wisdom eyes. Then, that torma is nourished, enslaved, and blessed three times, and then it is offered to the mandala of the Ornamented (page 310) Protector. Then, both of those tormas are moved outside, nourished, enslaved, and blessed three times, and then given to the earth deities. Then, that same torma is moved outside, nourished, enslaved, and blessed three times, and then given to the parents of the six realms. Then, that same torma is moved outside, nourished, enslaved, and blessed three times, and then given to the yakshas and demons, saying that it is like sending away the torma of obstacles.
