Sounds and all memories and thoughts should be left for a moment in the state of clear emptiness and non-grasping. Do as much as you know of the extensive dedication and aspiration prayers. Thus, if the six dharmas are unified and practiced with strong mindfulness (587), it is best to attain Buddhahood in this life, and until samsara is empty, all sentient beings will be matured and liberated. Without being controlled by forgetfulness and laziness, with strong faith and renunciation, constantly urging yourself on, if you wholeheartedly strive in this practice, then the great meaning of obtaining a precious human rebirth will be accomplished. This was written by the monk Vajradhara Ngawang Chodrak, a servant of the venerable lamas, at the urging of Ponpo Pema Gar gyi Wangchuk, according to the intention of the Great Accomplisher's instruction manual, "The Heart Essence Collection." It was written in the main temple of Mangkar Gon Sar in the Iron Male Monkey year (presumably a certain Rabjung, the specific year needs to be verified), and the scribe was Cho (588) Drak Sangpo. May this also benefit many beings, both self and others, and may all wishes be fulfilled and may there be auspiciousness! (589) The condensed essence of Niguma's practice, written by Ngawang Nyida Sangpo, is complete. The method of practicing the six dharmas of Niguma, the Wisdom Dakini: Divide one day and night into six sessions, abandoning the two sessions of day and night. Practice the two sessions of morning and afternoon, and the evening and dawn, for a total of four sessions. Before each session, practice Guru Yoga and purification of emptiness, not for a (591) short time. After that, in the morning, do the Tummo visualization. In the afternoon, mainly meditate on the illusory body. In the evening, in the visualization of dream and clear light, mainly meditate on self-mastery in dreams, the key points of the four empowerments of bindus. In clear light, mainly meditate on the two selflessness mothers within the skull. At dawn, practice the infallible dream visualization. In clear light (592), focus on the area below the navel. By constantly maintaining devotion and mindfulness towards the guru in your heart, clear light will naturally be attained. First, practice Phowa until you are definitely proficient, then later, in any convenient session, just remember the outline of the visualization without forgetting it. In between all the sessions, maintain intention. Afterwards, in all activities such as walking, standing, sitting, and lying down, constantly maintain mindfulness.

Therefore, visualize yourself as the Yidam deity, and visualize the Lama on the crown of your head. It is crucial not to lose the awareness that appearances are unreal, like dreams and illusions. Ultimately, rest in the clear light (593) Mahamudra, free from clinging to anything, even the illusion itself. Thus, determine a rough session time and condense the focus to a few points: with the awareness of impermanence, ascertain the deceptive nature of samsara. Recite, "Father Lama, Father Lama, please know me," while visualizing your kind root Lama above your head. May all beings equal to the sky, including myself, take refuge in the Lama, the embodiment of all refuges. Recite this as much as possible. Finally, pray: "Precious Lama, please pacify my illnesses and demonic obstacles! Please purify my sins and obscurations! Please generate special samadhi in my being!" After praying in this way, the Lama (594) dissolves into light and merges into you. Inside your skull, visualize a white Dharma source, wide open and facing upwards. Directly in front of it, focus single-pointedly on the white seed syllable "Ah" representing the nature of mind. First tighten, then relax, and finally balance. From the "Ah" syllable, nectar arises, washing the inside and outside of your body. Visualize all sins, obscurations, illnesses, and demonic obstacles being purified. Visualize yourself as Vajrayogini, with a red silk bag-like container inside, containing four fire eggs. Visualize the Lama and his retinue above your head, and pray: "Precious Lama, please bless me to generate the special samadhi of bliss and warmth in my being! The special samadhi of bliss and emptiness!" etc. And recite: "Please grant me the empowerment of existence!" After reciting, combine with breath control (595), rotating left and right, focusing on the sparks produced by the collision of the fire eggs. The key to the body is the binding of the six fire hearths. Visualize the three channels inside the body, and at the junction where the upper and lower energies merge into the central channel, visualize the syllable "Ram" (Tibetan: རཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: रं, Sanskrit Romanization: raṃ, meaning: fire) as a pea-sized fireball. Below, visualize the green wind energy coiling. By holding the breath, the wind energy stirs, and a thin flame burns in the waist, navel, and central channel. Finally, focus your mind on the central channel inside the body, and the flame filling it. Visualize nectar descending from the Lama's body, receiving empowerment, and the flame burning intensely. This is the practice of Tummo. Generate renunciation towards the illusory body and samsara. Visualize yourself as the Yidam, and the Lama above your head.
