That is the fourth. Also, the second is: From the blue letters of the three places (257) of the Lama, immeasurable and countless blue small bodies and limbs of Hevajra fall off and dissolve into the three places, which is the vase empowerment, the second and the third. From the navel, immeasurable and countless blue bodies fall off and dissolve into the navel, finally abiding in the state of dissolving into light, that is the fourth. It is said that this is a profound path. Two situations of not being contaminated by villagers: matured through empowerment, possessing vows; pleased through fierce asceticism. And so on, explained in detail. The lineage is: Vajradhara, Virupa, Black Brahmin, Black Cemetery, Lhatod Gonpo, Nyentonpa, up to the incarnate one. Mangalam! (258) (259) The uncommon empowerment instructions of Great Compassionate One are here. (260) Having prostrated to the holy Lama, in order to benefit others, I will explain the uncommon empowerment instructions of the noble Avalokiteśvara. This instruction of the Lord of the World has three parts: preliminary, main, and subsequent. The first is: In a secluded place, on a red four-petaled mandala, arrange flower bouquets, and in the center place a skull cup filled with nectar. Then surround it with offerings and torma (261) utensils. Then, the teacher first performs self-entry. In the center of the mandala is the main deity, one face and four arms, red; on the front petals is a skull cup varu, on the right is the one holding a jewel, and behind is Hayagriva. Also, if consecrating an old object, like one possessed by evil spirits, visualize oneself and the flower bouquets as wrathful deities, and all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas also appear as wrathful deities (262) and dissolve into the flowers, and perform recitation. It is said that the torma should also be done in the same way. The flower instructions are the teachings of Sangye Rigongpa, the views of Shangpa written down. If consecrating a statue of the Lama, the preliminary practices are the same. In the main practice, visualize the statue as whatever is the Lama's heart practice deity, dissolve in the wisdom deity, bless the body, speech, and mind, perform empowerment and sealing, and the key points of opening the eyes are the same. If it is a sambhogakaya statue, then perform the hair cutting etc., and visualize the Lama appearing in the taming appearance of sentient beings. If the Lama is a mantra practitioner, that is sufficient. If the Lama is a monastic, then first perform the elaborate ritual of hair cutting etc. for the sambhogakaya statue.

After doing that, then visualize that the taming of sentient beings appears and the Lama arrives, shave the head (263), hand over the razor, and so on. It is said that the ritual of the incarnate body is needed. Use this to explain the others. The consecration of the statue should be arranged according to the Lama's instructions. Then, at the time of scattering flowers for the consecration, visualize yourself as a green-yellow Tara, and scatter flowers while reciting "Namo Buddhaya." Tara is the deity of action. It is said that the accomplishment of action is achieved by the body color being green-yellow. Regarding the time of scattering flowers, although it is said to be when the sun rises on the mountain peak, in practice it is after midnight, when the gods, demons, and humans are all asleep. It is said to scatter the flowers when people are unaware. It is also said that at the time when the sun rises on the mountain peak, the flowers should be scattered avoiding people. The profound oral instructions (264) on the consecration of the Shangpa Lama. There are oral instructions on consecration. Namo Guru. There are two types of consecration: one that is not needed and one that is needed. The first is that by realizing the equality of all dharmas, one is free from the mind of refutation and establishment. That is the realm of the excellent. It is also not needed when one knows that the support is the actual incarnate body, that is the realm of the intermediate. The second is that one abides in refutation and establishment, which is needed for the realm of those with inferior faculties. There are three parts to it: preparation, main part, and conclusion. The first has five parts: the characteristics of the support, the characteristics of the teacher, the characteristics of the patron, the preparation to be done, and the practice to be done. There are three things for that: gugul (incense), mustard seeds, and barley rice. The first is, with rejoicing, generally (265), all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, especially all the wrathful deities, should have all their powers absorbed, and then mantras should be recited. The second is, with rejoicing, generally, all the wrathful deities, especially the generation and completion stages of the yidam, should be done and then recited. The third is, with rejoicing, generally, all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, especially whatever the support is, that and the generation and completion stages of the yidam deity should be done and recited. The second, the main part, is that the smoke of gugul, the capable one dispels obstacles. Mustard seeds, the wrathful one subdues obstacles. The pride of the green-yellow Tara. The fruit, the nature of the Buddha, common and uncommon, should be rained down like rain. The third, the conclusion, has five parts, the first is to entrust it to the Dharma protectors.
