The instructions and scriptural quotations spoken during the Great One's instructions on the deathless mind should be written together in one place. That is, after performing the Guru Yoga extensively like the Great Seal. During the preliminary generation of the mind of enlightenment. In general (152), all the teachings of the Vajrayana secret mantra are contained within the two: maturation and liberation, as it says in the Tantra of the Appearance of Vajra Arising: Because the Great Vajradhara, The meaning of what was spoken is manifold, Briefly, there are two aspects, Maturation and liberation. So it is. Therefore, in order to mature, one must receive empowerment. If one does not receive it, then even if one listens and meditates, there will be no result. As it says in the Tantra of the Bindu: Without empowerment, there is no accomplishment. Just as there is no oil even if one squeezes sand. Whoever, out of pride in the tantras and scriptures, Explains without empowerment, Teacher and student will fall immediately after death. Even if they attain accomplishment, they will be born in hell. Therefore, with all effort, Request empowerment from the lama. So it is. Thus, the path of obtaining empowerment is the two: generation and completion. As it says in the Tantra: This path of the Buddhas (153), Truly relies on two stages. The first is the generation stage, The second is the completion stage. So it is. Therefore, according to the system of the teacher Nagarjuna, first the generation stage is taught, and then it is asserted that the completion stage should be meditated upon. As it says in the Five Stages: From the generation stage being well established, For those who desire the completion stage, This method is like a staircase, The complete Buddhas have taught. So it is. Naropa says that the meditation on the essence of union should be done gradually. As it says in the Two Examinations: The nature of the generation stage itself, And also the nature of the completion stage, After the two stages are equally established, Then the Dharma of the Vajra Holder is taught. So it is. Here, in terms of the gradual habituation (154). First, the generation stage is taught, and there are three ways of explaining it: extensive, intermediate, and concise. As it says in the Tantra: Then the meditation on the deities, Is for superior, intermediate, and inferior faculties. For the complete mandala of the superior faculty, It is said that meditation and recitation should be done. The main deity of the intermediate faculty is the father and mother, The inferior faculty enters the eye between the eyebrows. After becoming stable in the eye between the eyebrows, Completely meditate on the thirty-seven deities. So it is. In terms of the intermediate faculty. In this stage of guidance, the main deity

It explains the meditation based on the Father and Mother (deity). From the Vajra verses of this itself: One's own body as the deity Father and Mother, At the crown of the head, the seed syllable with rays of light, All inside and outside of the body, In an instant, practicing emptiness and clarity, Without inherent existence, the form and color of the body, Face, hands, ornaments, and flames, (155) Clear and without conceptualization, View as the great uncontaminated bliss and emptiness. So it is. The sequence of visualizations for this is clear in the instruction manual. It is necessary to meditate constantly without even a moment's distraction. From 'Examining Sleep': Abandoning all thoughts completely, Focusing the mind on the body of the deity, Without missing a single day, Completely examine the meditation. There is no other method in samsara. So it is. The result of meditating on the generation stage in this way is: If one does not meditate on that Buddha, Even if enlightenment is not attained, one will be born. In all births, one will become a universal monarch, Or become a lord of the earth, Or go to a pure land. So it is. Furthermore, the ultimate result is that the two form bodies (156) benefit sentient beings. From the Sambhuti Tantra: With the pride of 'I am the Buddha,' The Buddha-nature will not change for a long time. Obtain the thirty-two major marks of a Buddha, And the eighty minor marks. So it is. Therefore, that which appears as one's own body as the deity is the reflection of the emptiness of one's own mind. Other than the mind, there is no truly established deity externally. From the Vajra verses: Mind itself is the deity's body of appearance and emptiness. This deity is one's own mind. Mind and deity's body are inseparable, Like a dream and a reflection of the moon in water. And Nagarjuna said: The nature of this mind, Appears as the mandalas of deities. The deity is one's own mind. Through the entering and reversing of the support and the supported, Understand the key point of everything (157). It is said that the supported, relying on the activity of the mind, The supporting body transforms and goes. The reason for this is that body, speech, and mind are indivisible and one. From the Guhyasamaja Tantra: Generate the body like the mind. Generate the mind like the spoken word. Generate the mind like the body. So it is said. That clear and empty deity body, Its essence is inexpressible, beyond the realm of the mind.
