The so-called "sixteen-year-old girl" is something that one can experience but cannot tell others, like a mute's dream or a child seeing the moon. The so-called "relying on mindfulness in this way (389)" means that relying on mindfulness is very important. Some people mainly focus on destroying meditation, but there is no need to destroy it; when the time comes, it will naturally collapse. If the time has not come, even if you destroy it, it will only become mediocre. Even when destroying, you must know the timing. The followers of Sukhasiddhi, Dampa Rinpoche, and others, destroy and then control. After destroying, they transform the remnants of destruction into the path. The so-called "Soma's technique" means first controlling, and then destroying because of the fear of antidotes arising, and then transforming it into Dharmakaya or non-attachment. This is holding onto the real experience of whatever arises. The so-called "that is the degree of stability" refers to recognizing one's own nature in the absence of objects through the blessings of the self-born coemergent wisdom, the guru's blessings, and the skillful means of instructions. At that time, activities are unimpeded and inseparable from one's own nature (390). The non-dual wisdom that pacifies conceptual thoughts expands without bias. Afflictions and conceptual thoughts are controlled, hence the power. It destroys appearances and thoughts, and because it can cut through, it is fierce. Alternatively, it is the activity of the form of emptiness, the speech of sound emptiness, and the mind of awareness emptiness. When one does not move from one's own virtuous practice, it is said that all of those are present. In the state of immeasurable compassion, when genuine virtuous practice arises in oneself, not only does compassion arise for sentient beings, but also devotion to the guru, pure vision towards fellow practitioners, and fear of karmic cause and effect, etc., are said to arise naturally, as the nature of reality. So, does the degree to which virtuous practice arises produce these? Generally speaking, it arises in most cases. But in individual cases, it may not arise. It is said that at that time, one needs to specially adjust one's mind to meditate (391). It is said that although Lama Zhang had a sudden realization of the nature of reality, compassion did not arise greatly, so he begged for compassion from the Buddhas of the ten directions. Therefore, one must practice compassion. That is also practicing the wheel of compassion, so one should bend the body, bring the cheeks and chin together, and hold a rosary in one's hand. Visualize that all sentient beings of the six realms are parents, because they are all benefactors, so observe whether they are happy or comfortable, and the result is that they are not happy or comfortable, the eye of wisdom is blind, the leg of skillful means is lame, and there is the compassion of the noble ones.

Wandering in the three realms of samsara, drifting in the six realms, meditate on compassion until immeasurable compassion arises for sentient beings. As for being separated from compassion, (392) compassion must also be absorbed into emptiness. If not absorbed, it will become the four-faced Brahma, which is also the result of the four immeasurables not being grasped by emptiness. The sutra says: The Buddha knew how to subdue him and asked: Brahma, where did these three realms come from? From where were they born? Brahma replied: These three realms came from me and were born from me. The Buddha asked: Where did you come from and where were you born? He did not know and replied: Where did I come from? The Buddha said: You came from ignorance and were born from ignorance. Therefore, one must realize that emptiness and compassion are inseparable. In the Two Examinations, it is said: He (ཧེས་ནི,हे,he,嘿), is great compassion. Vajra (བཛྲ་,वज्र,vajra,瓦吉拉) is said to be wisdom. If duality is not understood, such a thing will happen: (393) The sutra says: In India, a Brahmin couple had no children. Hoping for a child, they made offerings, observed fasts, and used various methods. One night, the husband dreamed that he had found three sharp swords. One fell into oil and became useless; one fell off a cliff and broke; one was able to subdue enemies. Later, three sons were born, and when they grew up, all three devoted themselves to the Dharma. One only meditated on compassion and could not escape from samsara. One only meditated on emptiness, denied cause and effect, and accumulated the karma of falling into the lower realms. One meditated on union, and therefore subdued afflictions and external enemies. The sutra says. In short, even Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas have compassion for sentient beings, (394) but they themselves are also trapped in samsara and cannot save others. Because they fear the suffering of samsara. Bodhisattvas can do it because they can endure the suffering of samsara. For example, if a couple's child is swept away by the water, the mother, although loving, cannot enter the water, but the father can. In the case of special methods, "Wind is like a blind man with legs, and great conceptualization rides with eyes." Therefore, wind is like a mount, and conceptualization is like a driver. Grasping the wind can stop the distraction of conceptualization.
